I remember this since I was a kid when I saw the original reissue trailer for for the first "Jaws" film on the VHS tape. It was dubbed from one of the rental VHS tape onto a homemade blank VHS tape. That brings back memories.
@Kartoonkid95 I don't think it was ever intended to do that.....it looks to me like Universal merely removed the custom 3-D logo originally placed on this film and added their regular logo.

I do know that the Universal logo "MCA Home Video" put on this tape is extremely different, from the special "JAWS 3" Universal logo that is on my DVD copy and original theatrical release.

a bit of advice:
If youre not going to use a capture card, you should try to focus the camera on the tv more precisely and try to keep out the black bars.

Did the MCA Home Video logo just segue into the Universal logo? Maybe that was the logo's original intention.
