works for me :D, BUT i have a question...is it possible for this to work even if you change height? For example, one pressure plate @ the same level as the doors, and another pressure plate one step down.. Thanks!
@gomby60 Pfft, makes no difference to me, I live in a gorgeous treehouse about 20 blocks up with plenty of light. I am good to go. I love this tutorial!
@MrRunescapeMaker You need to make the grid larger, at least 3 x 6. I prefer this because I live up in a gigantic tree, and there's not much space below my floor to work with. This is the most compact option for double doors. :)
@g07denslicer I'm not sure how the pressure plate is connected with the wire but the wire connects to the one block in the middle and from that to the redstone torch and the redstone torch sends the signal to the block above it. The signals from pretty much anything that has an output will travel into and out of a 1X1X1 block as if it is a redstone wire. This is only my understanding as I haven't really done much with redstone aside from read about it so anyone who knows more please correct me.
is there a way to make both doors have presure points on the same side? so both presure points open both doors... i cant seen to get it to work with more then one presure point...
wtf... 1st door system work but my 2nd is like a trap the pressure plates close the doors( 2 double doors with a stone block in the middle [door door stone block door door] )
@foarks English is a noun and an adjective , not a verb. You can't say "I englished that guy" but you can say "Hey is English(adj)" or "I like English(n)". :P
@Cydiawesome No point on making another tutorial. Hint:Did you know that you can toggle redstone wire with pressure plates just by placing the redstone wire 1 block below? (I hope I didn't sound like a big fat meanie LOL)
Hey could u please make a lever tutorial with the same method (2 doors) because i can do it but not without exposing the redstone to the surface witch looks really ugly.also if any one knows a tutorial that shows this please send me a link. thanks :D
Hmm honestly I am getting like 10 replies from that top comment I have Lol and its months ago. :P Thanks though but never really needed it anymore. :)
thanks man, i tried like for ever to make a double door work, but it didnt. thanks for it dude, i think you helped many people by posting this vid! :)

@MadeByMinecraft 3 of those tall ones walked to my door, stepped on the pressure plate and got inside, they got close to me exploded and tool out the front door and most of the wall, where the lava above my house entered and set the wood on fire lol a tragic story all because i used a pressure plate door idea...
Tyvm for the video, I was trying to screw around with double doors and make my own design but it was a much larger circuit. I can't believe how simple it was all along.
yeah, notches system for this circuit thing doesnt make any sense to me. why not just have a pressure plate connected via redstone, and if i hit it once, its on, and once again, then it's off?
@Saturnliveson@Conformist138 Use a stone pressure plate. (Use two smoothstone instead of two wooden planks.) Only the p[layer can activate stone pressure plates.
Just curious, but doesn't this make your doors effectively worthless?
Now mobs can just come right on in.
I'm trying to use this method for exiting while needing a button for entering (and I got it to work), but it's too bad that redstone wiring causes it to look like crap. Until/unless some type of hidden redstone is introduced, we must chose between form and function- we can't have both.
@ZupZup2010 That doesn't really make any sense. I wasn't talking about leaving gapping holes in the walls or floors. Just that mobs can step on pressure plates and enter the base, or using a button requires changing the redstone wire and either forces you to leave it exposed, or build a funky box next to the door that is equally bad looking.
In the end, my pressure plate exit opens the doule-doors, but my button entrance only can activate one side.
Is there something wrong I am doing, I do the EXACT same thing, tried with both wooden pressure plates with wooden doors and also tried iron doors with the stone pressure plates but the doors still close when I step on the plates and open when I do not step on them. What should I do? v1.501 MC.
@imDanglefeet This happened to me at first. On here he puts the redstone on side A and the torch on side B, you're putting the redstone on side B and the torch on side A, just put the on the right sides.
@imDanglefeet Invert the right door (From the outside of it) As in, place the right one to the side of the pressure plate and the other infront of it. It'll look weird, but it works.
Okay, that really took alot of my back, thanks!
