  • Okay, that really took alot of my back, thanks!

  • stupid simple, yet I wouldn't have figured it out on my own. Thanks for the quick tutorial.

  • There is a more simple version without redstones

  • thanks i was stuck for ages

  • Whats the point in having a double doorwhen the pressure pad is only on one side?

  • works for me :D, BUT i have a question...is it possible for this to work even if you change height? For example, one pressure plate @ the same level as the doors, and another pressure plate one step down.. Thanks!

  • @MichiganLaxBro I dont know you should give it a try and tell me how it turns out :D

  • @jamtheman1017 couldnt do it :[ but i made a minecart track goin down to bedrock today!

  • Neat

  • doesnt work for me, i followed the steps perfectly.

  • It is almost depressing how simple this solution is. Thank you for this vid!

  • thanks this rlly helped me :)

  • @jamtheman1017 I tweaked the pressure plates round a bit and I've sorted it now,I use the double doors quite a lot just never remember haha thanks.

  • Can you do a vid for 1.1? I've done the same thing and when I go on pressure plate it closes and when I'm off it,it's open?:S

  • @Storrboy2 Follow what i do it works in 1.1 look at the video closer :D

  • This does not work for me anymore :(

  • @enginowich you done it wrong then i just done it on 1.1 and it work perfect

  • @brettxxo But I do the exact same thing! I'm lost...

  • Thanks man!

  • Comment removed

  • thanks so much! :3

  • Btw this works without the redstone too.

  • @Jerzukko No it dosent..

  • This games is so great, it's been a long time since i had this much fun :D

  • Great video i used this in minecraft version 1.1

  • Thanks!!!!

  • I freakin' love you.

  • i can make a better 2 way door look at my vids

  • AND OF COURSE THAT WILL PROTECT ME FROM THE CREEPERS , SPIDERS , SKELETONS AND ZOMBIES

  • @gomby60 Pfft, makes no difference to me, I live in a gorgeous treehouse about 20 blocks up with plenty of light. I am good to go. I love this tutorial!

  • thanks mate!

  • 2 doors 1 pressure plate

  • cheers helped a lot

  • Thanks alot relly simple and easy to do :) i like it

  • u are awsome

  • Thank you so much!

  • What if I want two pressure plates?

  • @MrRunescapeMaker id guess double up the redstone torch and stuff ... but youve prolly figured it out by now haha this was two weeks ago

  • @MrRunescapeMaker You need to make the grid larger, at least 3 x 6. I prefer this because I live up in a gigantic tree, and there's not much space below my floor to work with. This is the most compact option for double doors. :)

  • does this work with the 1.0.0 double iron door bugs?

  • @MrRunescapeMaker Yes, just tested it

  • @MrRunescapeMaker yup :)

  • ooooo thank you so much for sharing this I've been trying to get double doors to work with pressure plates but could never get it to work

  • ty!

  • ty

  • Will it let creepers in?

  • @Babk0ck good point

  • @Babk0ck use stone pressure plates ;)

  • wow easiest double door tutorial i've seen good job and thanks!

  • But how are the pressure plates connected to the redstone below? In fact, How is ANYTHING connected in this circuit?

  • @g07denslicer I'm not sure how the pressure plate is connected with the wire but the wire connects to the one block in the middle and from that to the redstone torch and the redstone torch sends the signal to the block above it. The signals from pretty much anything that has an output will travel into and out of a 1X1X1 block as if it is a redstone wire. This is only my understanding as I haven't really done much with redstone aside from read about it so anyone who knows more please correct me.

  • @xGhost153 Work very well in 1.8.1.

  • is there a way to make both doors have presure points on the same side? so both presure points open both doors... i cant seen to get it to work with more then one presure point...

  • wow, this video was agreat help because im making a castle and i loomked through many videos but this was the best and most compact, thank you

  • the redtone dont have wtf

  • best double doors ive ever seen, real well done

  • thx this was the easyest why i ever seen thx alot !

  • @xGhost153 Yeah it does, I probably had the problem you had. You just do EXACTLY what he does and you'll get it.

  • Thanks man, really helped me out!

  • Finally........... Thanks So Much!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pudycuplvr you may notice someone has already said that -_- thumbs up whore

  • @tommyrharper57 it was just a JOKE yeeeeeeeeeeesssssssh

  • @pudycuplvr nah it wasn't it was your desperate attempts to enter the top comments for no comprehensible reason other than some sort of ego boost.

  • who else got here from minecraft wiki XD

  • @tommyrharper57 i did

  • wtf... 1st door system work but my 2nd is like a trap the pressure plates close the doors( 2 double doors with a stone block in the middle [door door stone block door door] )

  • I Love The part when the freggin creeper went right thru the doors and kills me...

  • Thx

  • Thanks, that's always been anoying

  • BEST VIDEO FOR THIS I HAVE SEEN EVER!

  • But will it blend?

  • @steven7795 I lol'd

  • @steven7795 that is the question :D

  • @steven7795 That is the question :D

  • thank you

  • it wont work wtf?

  • 1.7.3 YOU CANT FLIPPING DO THAT!

  • @LordIan155 Is that why it won't work for me anymore?

  • @HidForHG no dip updates add stuff that they dont say

  • @LordIan155 you can XD

  • @LvKingsfield what ever go fall down a hole and die

  • thank you ive been trying stuff to fix this problem forever

  • i love u, sub and like!!, ur so aweeeeeeeeeeeeeesome!

  • You spelled torch wrongly.

  • @FaroZ06 Oh and nice video btw. This really helped.

  • @FaroZ06 You spelled "Wrong" wrong.

  • @Legoomify No, I wouldn't use an adjective to describe a verb. You need the adverb "wrongly".

  • @FaroZ06 You English'd that sucka.

  • @foarks English is a noun and an adjective , not a verb. You can't say "I englished that guy" but you can say "Hey is English(adj)" or "I like English(n)". :P

  • @foarks MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

    Like a b0ss

  • @ jamtheman1017 can you make a tutorial for 2 pressure plates on each side?

  • @Cydiawesome No point on making another tutorial. Hint:Did you know that you can toggle redstone wire with pressure plates just by placing the redstone wire 1 block below? (I hope I didn't sound like a big fat meanie LOL)

  • @Cydiawesome If you didn't understand the previous comment I made, try going to more youtube vids.

  • Hey could u please make a lever tutorial with the same method (2 doors) because i can do it but not without exposing the redstone to the surface witch looks really ugly.also if any one knows a tutorial that shows this please send me a link. thanks :D

  • wow...i cant believe how easy that looked! Thank you! I could not for the life of me figure out how to make one haha!

  • can this work with a pressure plate on one side and a button on the other?

  • @slowboygofast Logically, yes.

  • Two pressure plates would look nicer, can you make a tutorial for that?

  • Hmm honestly I am getting like 10 replies from that top comment I have Lol and its months ago. :P Thanks though but never really needed it anymore. :)

  • that is not how you spell torch

  • Thank you

  • Can you make a tutorial where you use buttons?

  • yeah how about with 2 pressure plates?

  • it worked the first time i used it o; and then i hear like a sssss and i check and the redstone torch is out

  • nice tutorial, thx

  • thanks man, i tried like for ever to make a double door work, but it didnt. thanks for it dude, i think you helped many people by posting this vid! :)

  • I'm wondering why you want to have a DOUBLE DOOR while you can enter it only with one side -.- the second door is just useless.

  • @misiekblondi looks better

  • @misiekblondi double doors look nicer

  • Awesome, now how do you add a locking mechanism on the inside?

  • thanks man, so compact and so simple.

  • i made it so a switch open it on the outside and a pressure opens on inside

  • Wow, finally a compact solution! Everybody else's solution requires about 4x6x3 holes and bigger this one is only 2x3x2 so yeah.... GREAT JOB

  • Won't mobs open the doors by stepping on the plates?

  • Why not just put 2 pressure plates on back and front side of the doors?

  • @Al1enBlack try it, and see if it works, it wont

  • @TRCruzzr

Its like nobody plays Alpha right now. Now everybody updates their version to 1.7.2 .

  • it doesnt work

  • It should be common sense that if you put a pressure plat outside your door an enemie mob can walk right in. that's why I only put them on the inside, so they open for me when I walk out and it closes behind me when I walk in.

  • MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA nice vid ;p

  • hey y do my door close instead of opening when i step on the preasure plate. oh and i also had my house set ablaze cause the zombies walked into a trap and blew half my house up and then the fire place caught the house on fie. :(

  • ok so good news, the door worked...bad news...3 zombies walked into my house, exploded and took out half of my house :( l

  • @stevenking94 The zombies walked in and exploded your house. Cool. Care to explain how?

  • @MadeByMinecraft 3 of those tall ones walked to my door, stepped on the pressure plate and got inside, they got close to me exploded and tool out the front door and most of the wall, where the lava above my house entered and set the wood on fire lol a tragic story all because i used a pressure plate door idea...

  • @stevenking94 ... those are creepers.

  • @G4Master96 ok? oh well its not like it makes a difference

  • @stevenking94 well just saying cause i kinda wondered how the zombie blew up.

  • @G4Master96 lol ok well then correction , it was 3 creepers not zombies. but either way they took out my wooden house it was a horroble experience

  • @stevenking94 that sucks. try stones. they dont blow up as easily. i just got blown up by a creeper and only 2 stone blocks blew up.

  • Is there any way to make it so there are two pressure plates, four altogether?

  • @Omaly321 Yes there is. Check tyken double door tutorial

  • Help me and sub to get more epic VIDS!

  • @jamtheman1017 you react to your own video positively with the same account?

  • ok thanks

  • thx you

  • sweet man thanks!

  • Tyvm for the video, I was trying to screw around with double doors and make my own design but it was a much larger circuit. I can't believe how simple it was all along.

  • Ummmm i see UNREGISTERED MINECRAFT!!!!!!!! the top saying unregistered is tagged off by the maker of vid LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • @kyotochristian00 Um... this vid was made in Alpha, and the unregistered marker was added in Beta 1.6.6...

  • for me when i am off the pressure plate the steel doors are open and when i get on they close. HELP!

  • Nice, really helped!!

  • yeah, notches system for this circuit thing doesnt make any sense to me. why not just have a pressure plate connected via redstone, and if i hit it once, its on, and once again, then it's off?

  • @kudjo24 It called a PREASURE plate it needs PREASURE on it to power stuff. Duh

  • @SomeMinecrafter

yeah that would just make it a button xD

  • if you have mobs coming inside your house then replace the Plate with a lever, but you must make the RSD longer.

  • Thanks mate, would have waited a long time trying to figure this out myself.

  • thanks for the it and i only put the wooden to iron doors

  • if you don't like the two-way door option because of the threat of random mobs, just do exactly this without the outside pressure plate. still works.

  • THANK YOU!

  • nice!

  • mobs cud get in

  • when i did this i kinda failed :/

    watch?v=ZA7RiOdk9vQ

  • When I did this, the door became open and then slammed in my face when I stepped on the pressure pad

  • it freakin stopped working for me -__-

  • @kikiotsuka

Same here. I rebuilt them and it won't work! Only one will open.

  • OMFG ITS THAT FUCKING EASY AND HERE I AM TRYING FOR 10 MINS....fml -_-"

  • @Saturnliveson @Conformist138 Use a stone pressure plate. (Use two smoothstone instead of two wooden planks.) Only the p[layer can activate stone pressure plates.

  • thanks man i could never get these red stone thigns to work!

  • Just curious, but doesn't this make your doors effectively worthless?

Now mobs can just come right on in.

I'm trying to use this method for exiting while needing a button for entering (and I got it to work), but it's too bad that redstone wiring causes it to look like crap. Until/unless some type of hidden redstone is introduced, we must chose between form and function- we can't have both.

  • @Conformist138 Fill up the hole.

  • @ZupZup2010 That doesn't really make any sense. I wasn't talking about leaving gapping holes in the walls or floors. Just that mobs can step on pressure plates and enter the base, or using a button requires changing the redstone wire and either forces you to leave it exposed, or build a funky box next to the door that is equally bad looking.

In the end, my pressure plate exit opens the doule-doors, but my button entrance only can activate one side.

  • Is there something wrong I am doing, I do the EXACT same thing, tried with both wooden pressure plates with wooden doors and also tried iron doors with the stone pressure plates but the doors still close when I step on the plates and open when I do not step on them. What should I do? v1.501 MC.

  • @imDanglefeet This happened to me at first. On here he puts the redstone on side A and the torch on side B, you're putting the redstone on side B and the torch on side A, just put the on the right sides.

  • @imDanglefeet Torch under other door mate

  • @imDanglefeet use an inverter in the middle of teh thing

  • @imDanglefeet Invert. Make a invert.

  • @imDanglefeet Invert the right door (From the outside of it) As in, place the right one to the side of the pressure plate and the other infront of it. It'll look weird, but it works.

  • @imDanglefeet Make Sure you are only using 1 pressure plate on both sides.

  • @imDanglefeet I think you put the torch under the wrong door. Try to change it.

  • @imDanglefeet make sure the pressure plate is over the front REDSTONE (NOT the torch) i made that mistake and i moved it and it works perfectly now

  • @imDanglefeet Inverter problem solved

  • @imDanglefeet By digging a bigger whole and inverting the input, fail.

  • This is fantastically simple!
