Really nice job considering the piano he's playing on as well as the on-the-spot unprofessional recording. I like this guy because he plays this piece similar to the way I do. I love Gottschalk. If you want to find out where Gottschalk got the idea for this piece, just listen to Liszt's Grand Galop Chromatique. Gottschalk obviously knew Liszt's Galop and played a lot of Liszt as a budding prodigy. There are a lot of similarities between these two Galops.

Very much enjoyed his playing. Would love to have seen Gottschalk play it himself...what a great musician that so many know nothing about.
