The Justice System is not tight enough to stop innocents ending up loosing their lives as well as their liberty. I have been on the receiving end of an unjust sentence for assault because witnesses came to Court to lie on behalf of a corrupt Police Inspector who attacked me while off Duty. I ended up with 3 Months in Prison for something I didn't do. Imagine if my life was on the line! I say no to the Death Penalty because of mistakes in the legal process!
The DP has never made any sense to me whatsoever. We punish those who kill by killing them ourselves? Who gets to kill the executioner? And who kills the one who kills the executioner? When does the cycle end? The Death Penalty is legalized, official, premeditated murder.
