Hey Jaime. I'm on my second or third time through this series. It's very inspirational and I enjoy watching it. This has to be my favorite series on youtube. I hope you can get back to working on the GRP sometime soon!
hey dude, i just want to let you know how much of an inspiration you are to me and all the aspiring inventors/engineers out there. your creativity and resourcefulness is beyond many of the greatest minds out there right now. keep it up dude, and everyone will know your name.
Aw, thanks! That means a lot to me, actually. The inspiration thing, not that you read the descriptions. Oh... well, thats cool too, though! Anyway, thanks!
hola. dude, its lookin sick. i cant wait till you finish. i built that little spider deal(the one i thought worked like yours) with the single motor and cam. it walks a little rugged. im startin to think i should build a big one with a little more fine tuning though. not for a while though because at the time im in highschool and some college courses... ever get the feelin there's not enough time in the day?
im saving up for a sweet new vid cam. almost there... dude, crazy. what time do you go to bed?... i used to do a thing where id sleep from 1 till 4am, than every like five hours id sleep from 45min to an hour and 15min. kinda like DaVincci did, it actually worked great, i always was alert and had energy.
I don't really have much of a sleep schedule. Once I slept for 22 hours straight. ...because I got tired of the world. I felt great after!
Another time, I slept an average of 2 hours per night for 3 months. All I did was exercise and build. It was right after I swore off girls for a while. Man, they take a lot of energy to deal with.
Man, you came so far... You can't just stop now!!! But why don't you try the easy things for a day or two... Just to relax a little... And then back to work... Happens most of the times to me...
Oh, don't worry. I'm not remotely close to quitting. I have been thinking about riding my bike to the beach for a day, though. :-)
You know.... give me a chance to think... remember why I'm building this... get perspective. ...look at girls in bikini's. Hmmm. I almost forgot about those. ...girls, not bikini's. Well, both. Anyway. I'm clearly going insane. I need some food.
hi iv never felt the need to comment b4 but have always enjoyed ur videos. im telling everyone to watch your vids as i think u are totally inspiring to watch but after that video i felt i should say summit. NEVER GIVE UP MY FRIEND!!!! you are doing what others only wish they could. keep it up. the world needs a giant robot!!!! :) good luck
Hmm. But I'm a good guy? Why is the inventor genius always the bad guy? Sure I have unpopular views on the world, but... one of those views is that everyone should do whatever they want as long as it doesn't prevent others from doing what they want.
Hi Jaimie- just wanted to let you know how much I've been enjoying the robot updates. FYI I wouldn't spend too much time dreaming about VT right now...I live in Norwich and have 7 feet of drifts outside my front door. Unless you want to outfit your robot with snowshoes...keep up the good work.
mmmmmmmmm, snow. I can't wait! I hope it isn't all melted by the time I get back. MY robot should be fine in the snow. It'll step pretty high. Its designed for obstacles. ...including snow.
actually caffeine works on the same stimulating principles as working out. it releases dopamine, a hormone which regulates mood, thinking, alertness, and scuh. working out hard does some of the same thing as caffeine because of the increased blood flow, hormones like testosterone, etc. when combined, its like heaven ;)
yeah exercise is one way to put your mood back and start thinking clearly, at least it helps me after lifting weights, that and some high caffinated beverage! anywase, keep up the good work!
Really? You're the 2nd person to mention caffeine as a mood boooster. hmmm. Too bad I'm not into using drugs to affect my mood, or I'd be all over that. Hmm. Well, I guess I'll just keep workin out. :-P
well you need to practice like back in the day, when you were on track team =) but I like how the robot is coming along, and i see you are doing great with it. I hope things turn out awesomely good for you, and maybe you could reinforce stuff with gorilla glue =) like the platsitcs.
Well, the glue I'm using dissolves the plastic, so it end up melted together. I don't know if I can get much better than that. Oh, and I put a few screws in too. :-)
Hmm... Jolt. I see. Maybe I've been going about it all wrong! I go running, and do pushups, and all kinds of stuff. To think, all I needed was a different drink! Oh, I'm so dumb. :-P
Uhh.... I don't know. If it doesn't, I'll have to rebuild those parts. According to the data sheets, it should. I'm expecting something to break during the first test. ...hopefully not toooo many things.

That's the way of living... Make your hobby for a living (well for me) and girls, and fast home-made cars (mostly for machining!!!)
Cheers!!! Keep walking...

Will your giant spider robot be able to carry a person or people, because that would be one hell of a way to get around.
kiml42 4 years ago
Its a vehicle. A human driver sits in it. Hopefully, there'll be space for a passenger. ...possibly 2.
