Not to sound like a fanboy but nVidia did the impossible here their chipset polished a turd and made it shine.

This chip set makes the Atom and C7 CPUs which are normally too slow to do things like play youtube HD video and play games pull off 1080p.

It's the best thing to ever happen to netbooks and mini-itx boards.

Made me glad I held out till now on buying a netbook.

Get a new video card I built a hackintosh with an intel core 1 and it died trying to play anything HD on the IGP.

I added a cheapo geforce 7800LE and it made a huge difference and now it'll handle anything and youtube video doesn't even bother it.

Since that's an AGP machine a 6800gt or a radeon hd3850 would be what to look for.

I wouldn't spend more then $50 to $80 as the Athlon XP is a pretty old and any new board will likely be PCIe based.

i want a nvidia ion pc i like what i see but the price, Errr a little high! the only way to game is to get the dual core and over clock it to 2.0 ghz then you got a good computer. If you want a nvidia ion motherboard zotac and asus make em! I am hoping for more companies to jump on the bandwagon to lower prices! then I might buy a ion motherboard and stick it in a broken xbox 360. I know it would fit with room to spare!

Ati drivers have exact same issue with their drivers as nvidia and is about your hardware and OS install more than anything esle.

DX11 support, OpenGL 3.0 - 3.1 OpenCL Nvidia is purely for performance , where ATI just tries to pack as many stream processors and utilize higher channel DDR modules ( EG the 4870 GDDR5 )

man your just as stupid just because ati has a different aproach doesn't mean its focus isn't performance besides the 4890 (for less than 200$) is the about the same as the gtx 275 (which I own) which is 250$ also the 4850 which can be found for under 99$ is about the same as the gtx 250 which is usually around 120$ so purely price to performance Ati is a much better choice nvidias only advantage is their gtx 295 which is awesome also nvidias drivers ARE EXTREMLY OVERATED

LOL whatever you say, the GTX 285 is the most effective single GPU card on the market so dont try to tell me ATI does a better job they fuck around with retarded shader core numbers and the shader cores themselves are not nearly as high quality as Nvidia streaming cores. I just got my msi wind with 2gb of ram for 350 €

The price is just so much, there is no way I can ever get another netbook here. Thank god I live in the states.

you defending something you know nothing about. and it shows. just to start my dell mini 9 net book only has a rez on 600 pixels tall. if this video was "HD" i would not be able to fit it on my screen. and yet when i press the "HD" it shows the video and i still have pixels to spare.

also all that full screen button all it does is take that "HD video" and upscale it to your screen.

all you tube really has done is 16:9.

No, you are incorrect. As I said, download the YouTube video as see for yourself. The dimensions of the .mp4 are 1280x720 with a bitrate of around 2500kbps. You can even check the properties of the .flv being streamed--it's 1280x720 when full-screened. The HD frame when viewed on the site is smaller than 1280x720, but when you full-screen it, you're viewing a native 1280x720 video, upscaled or downscaled to whatever your resolution is.

but there still sites out there like game spot that says 540P "HD". dont know about them.
