  • It's amazing that this machine actually drove in that condition, but I am really amazed at what you've done with it now! good job :D

  • @jack9102 I know, I was a little afraid to ride it!

Now I can't wait to ride it!

  • Weld something to cover the chain. Hate to see you get hurt ;)

  • @Jodbronson it's gotten fully re-built

  • check my account for the European style of lawnmower racing !

  • is that a tecumseh flat head

  • @bobhadababitsaboy yup yup! I may put it out of its misery soon

  • @Fearlessfront i like how beefy thier flatheads look compared to the briggs but they can't fuck with the ohv engines

  • can i have it

  • i would take the bars off and put a wheel on it looks better and is better on turning

    mmore comfortable too

  • hay have every try to put a v8 on a lawnmower??????????/

  • Wow, what a differenece!

  • Rip it Up FF, but don't fry your "equipment" ha ha

  • @openwheelmanic hahahaha!

  • At least your ass will stay warm haha..

  • wat you got on it and how it goin so fast

  • @jacob6988 here, it had an 8 hp and centrifugal clutch on it.

  • it is nice and it is fast

  • you should put a hayabusa engine in it!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Thijs18588 haha! I like the way you think!

  • Your nuts dude

  • Hm, I'll have to make sure I pull those off. I haven't even checked them anyway.

My dad is a huge gearhead, so I know more than the average Joe does about mechanical things. He drag-races. Put it this way, I can't drive (well legally anyway) so why can't I make a lawnmower do 45? LOL

  • @NicksGarageDoor haha! I was in a similar situation myself, my parents wouldnt buy me an atv, so I bought a riding mower and used that, the rest is history! lmao

  • YOU KNOW IF THAT MOTOR W UP STRIGHT AND NOT TILTED LIKE THAT IT WOULD RUN BETTER AND THAT AWESOME TOO MAN HAHA GO TO ADVANCED UTO AND BUT MUFFLER TIPS TO MOUNT IT WILL RUM BETTER IF YOU GET THE RIGHT TIP AND SOUND BETTER TOO

  • @cjennings141 the whole thing is torn apart and getting a rebuild. It's actually getting a new motor as well.

  • Hmm I'd take it all apart just for the hell of it.

And I'm really excited. I go to pick up my Murray tonight!

  • @NicksGarageDoor Sweet! Good luck! I hope it serves you as well as mine has!

  • @Fearlessfront

Hey dude, I've had my Murray for about a week now. It's actually a 97 widebody (What is LT? Lawn tractor?). 40inch deck(been removed) aftermarket ignition, and so far that's pretty much it. But mine floods. A LOT. Just from sitting. It also backfires when you go from full throttle to nothing, pretty much no matter how slow you do it. I think it's the needle and seat, but could you think of anything else it might be? Video coming soon.

  • @NicksGarageDoor I think youve got it, it's in the carb. same thing happened to me... I'll send you a vid, but you might have seen it already. Mine is a 98, so I bet there the same machine! is it a 12.5 flatty?

  • @Fearlessfront

Yep. Did your engine have those ridiculous guards around the cooling fins?

And I took a look at the video. I am eventually going to do a whole tune-up on the thing, but I'm going to replace the fuel line, filter, and the needle and seat, as well as the air filter (pretty ok, but might as well) and the spark plug (I think it's the original one Briggs supplied with it!) So yeah. This thing is always fun to start, not only does it flood, but the choke linkage is gone. Cable ordered

  • @NicksGarageDoor Yeah, and they were packed with old grass clippings. first thing I do when I get any mower is remove those death plates!

Sounds like your on the right track, were lucky the parts are cheap!

  • "I think this thing electrocuted my nuts a second ago"

That happened to me. Believe me, you wouldn't think, you'd know. (Ugh, stupid Honda rototiller. Burns oil like an SOB, and sounds like the piston's going to crash thru the block and hit me in the stomach.)

  • @NicksGarageDoor hahahaha! The motor on that thing was such a piece of junk! I still have it, I dont really know what to do with it..

  • see this is the reason i like briggs ..........look at all the crap wrong and it still somehow runs lol xD but serously this is a trooper lol

  • @Fearlessfront I hear ya man. It sea like all the fun toys that seem like they'll be cheap enough to do are the ones that cost the most haha

  • @Fearlessfront Quit leavin us hangin man!! Get er done already!!!! Hahaha

  • @cj15941 I'm trying! this has been way more expensive then I originally though

  • Holy crap dude! That thing sure has come a long way!! Lol

  • @cj15941 haha, u just wait!

  • is there anyway that you can email me bcuz im started on one of these at the begining of the summer and i was wondering were you got most of your parts

  • @steve19901zz Well I could e mail you that, or just go to bmikarts dot com and youll seed the parts yourself. in most cases, there are different grades of parts depending on how much you want to spend. some are more flashy then others

  • Looks bad ass ...... Can't wait to see it when she's finished

  • @rex4x4 thanks, it'll be much better when its done

  • my friend made one kinda like this but we figerd out the we needed two chain tenchners

  • @dornbushful I hope I don't need 2. I planned for 1 if I need it.

  • the clutch is on fkin backwrds

  • I need one. Why have a car when you have this.

  • don't let it backfire. I't would burn your ass.

  • @twistedyogert lol! Just wait till it's done, it should be faster

  • hey man thats nothin i rode a honda 200s 3wheeler around with no brakes at all my back ones where shot and the front had no brake hub

  • @ridinhonda4life h aha, but if your like me, you dont let that stop you from trying to reach top speed!

  • @Fearlessfront yeh thats true lol

  • can you do a vid on how to make new brakes and show us every thing that needs to be greased on the mower

  • @TheRUSSELLBOY once I get a a brake setup to put on this thing I'll definitely do a video. as far as greasing goes; if it moves, grease it! ha ah

  • Hey i have an Idea for you. Make a Real Off Road Mower. 4X4 where all tires Spin

  • sweet i can't wait to see the rebuild vid woot woot. every time i watch one of your vids i wanna just run out and start working on my tractor lol

  • @pease5921 lol! thanks man! It's hard for me to find the time to work on my stuff. I donno enjoy about you, but I enjoy working on my tractors as much as i like riding them!

  • lol nice, all those old engines have a 1in shaft were as the lower hp new ones have a 3/4 in shaft. looks scary as hell wilthout breaks. i remember driving my dads old dakota without breaks to get it to the back yard and that was scary enough fer me lol looks like its gunna be a great project cant wait to see what your gunna do wit it

  • @mark16443 Thanks, and yeah it was pretty scary, this thing is hardly bolted together.... I definitely need a full rebuild. I'm gonna try to keep the whole process well documented.

  • That thing sounds just a little grindy....oh btw spark plug electricity is not the way to treat yourself lol!

  • @rchristopher821 Bah! I'm done having kids!

  • Man that thing looks fun as hell! deff need some valve adjusting from the rocker arms though! but other than that pretty sweet! good buy right there

  • @bubbawinchester no roker arms here! shes a flathead! I was gonna give it a valve job, but the engine is kinda shitty (broken block pieces) and I don't want to deal with it. I'll probably sell it.

  • @Fearlessfront damn! yea I had a gokart and the engine got loose from where it sat and wiggled around and didn't know it and i crack my block

  • @bubbawinchester ouch, that must have pissed you off! It would me...

  • @Fearlessfront ah man! i was so pissed! lmao i still have the gokart chillin in the garage ! hahah

  • Awesome stuff! It's hard to believe that that mowed a lawn at one point. I got a quick question, I am looking into a Snapper lawn mower. I don't know the specs of it right now, but I will see soon enough. Do you happen to know if Snappers are easy to mod, or if they are harder to do?

  • @TBTwinsFan09 yeah, it must have been like riding a push mower, I think they only came with 5 & 8 hp engines. It's pretty light without a motor on it, no wonder it hauls ass!

  • @TBTwinsFan09 I think alot of Snappers use friction disc drives

  • @CSAKvids Those are harder to mod, right? I am having a major brain fart right now.

  • @TBTwinsFan09 I don't think it's even possible to speed them up. Im not sure though, never worked on one. Might be easier to sell the Snapper on and find something else, or stick a peerless rear end in it. Might need some fabrication to make it all fit in though but it would be worth it.

  • @CSAKvids I haven't bought it yet. The guy has others that I can inquire about too. Thanks for the help!

  • Comment removed

  • thats scary fast ! looking forward to the rebuild

  • @DSLGKC550 Thanks! I've got it mostly tore down now... just wheels and a frame! lol

  • @Fearlessfront hey where can i get one of those clucthes with the sproket on it

  • Thats basically how i want to build my wizard - use my 6.5 greyhound motor , go kart clutch, lowered height and 6" wheels, 1" straight axle - should be a screemer IF i ever get it finished. Phase two would be a twin cylender update....

    Thumbs up!

  • @dangeroustoys56 GET ON IT! I've been wanting to see the mild mod wheel horse you were talking about building. it's a recipe for awesomeness!

  • @Fearlessfront : Actually it was a full blown hot rod wheelhorse- basically a MTD chassis , lowered, twin cylender and 1" axle with the 69 wheelhorse sheetmetal - i was thinking of using golf kart wheels - now im not sure about those 8" wheels.....

  • Needs a lot of work but that thing is so cool!

  • @67RcodeFairlane yup! lots of work!

  • @nikolai5447 Thanks, I can't wait to start the tear down and re-build!

  • i think it might be worth rebuilding the engine

  • @NZHproduction I'm checking the compression on it today. we'll see! I hope it just needs a valve job or something.

  • That thing is pure hilarious. Im glad you rode it before rebuild, thats the most fun I think haha.

  • @Growl60 Yeah, It was a little frightening! Make me really want to get it done now though! Good motivation!

  • I say, buy a gsxr 750-1000 engine and run that on there!! Hahaha. Wana talk about SPEED!

  • @69techlover lol! wow, I would be passing cars on the highway at that point! ha ha

  • i would get a verticle engine and run a right angle gear box and you could run belt to chain or get a horizontal engine and run a jack shaft type setup for more speed and torque.

  • @V8Mike93 I was considering a jackshaft setup on it, to get the chain away from the seat support... But I'm gonna concentrate on making a safe rolling chassis first.

  • i would put a 10hp engine on it and tweek the governor and make it a twist throttle and put some diamond plate in those holes on the side where u put ur feet and reinforce it some with a middle bracket and then sand it and paint it primer they paint it black with some classic red pin striping and a indian pin strip design and put some racing gocart tires and wheels on there and have that thing rolling and oh put a racing heavy duty clutch on it

  • @fatass721 You've got it! I'll be doing a lot of those things here in the future. It'll be real nice when it's done... And I'll probably be broke!

  • That thing looks like a lot of fun, when's the next romp video coming out?

  • @OMGitzaFORK Not sure, It's tough getting people to film me.

  • She was getting some speed there for a minute huh... haha

I'd put a harborfreight 6.5hp engine on it and a new clutch.

  • @TRcustomengineering Every time I got close to top speed, the chain would fly off.I'm not 100% sold on those harbor freight motors yet, I hear they know sometimes. TSC has a 6.5hp honda clone (probably the same manufacture as Harbor frieght) for $179, I may look into that if this motor is useless... It's really big, and I want to slide it forward some.

  • hey i have a 5hp briggs racing engine that with the acohol carb puts out about 20hp its been bored 20 over im selling im asking $250 way less than what you can build them for i live in kennebunk maine it would go awsome on that it would rip (even more)

  • @casebutler That sounds awesome except: #1 I just pissed away my extra $ buying this thing, #2 where do you get alcohol race gas in Maine? Otherwise I'd be all over it

  • @Fearlessfront i think you can get alcohol at a hobby shop But you can put a gas carb on (it currently has a diry gas carb on it) im not firm on my price and ill hold it for however long you want

  • @casebutler we'll see, I think I am going to replace the engine, but it'll be on of the last things I do.. I think. I'm gonna concentrate on building a solid rolling chassis at the moment.

  • hahaha that thing is pretty awesome!!! lol Its only fun when you life is in the faits of a lawn tractor eh? hahah Nice vid man! glad to see paul back. is he gunna get his tractor going?

like always, Great vid! keep em coming!

  • @arild365 We should be getting it going soon, he never want to work on it, just ride it.... So I guess I'll have to fix it for him.

And yeah, it's pretty freakin dangerous as well! It should be fun when it's done though.

  • you should get rid of the whole centrifugal clutch system and make it belt driven, so you wont have to replace burnt clutches all the time

  • @1999camaro3800 I've thought about that, But I donno yet. still sort of assessing the situation! lol

  • nice

  • @4343Jonathan Thanks man!

  • @Fearlessfront oh hey why is it the last ride

  • @4343Jonathan well, last ride before the teardown and re-build.

  • @Fearlessfront oh lol keep the great videos coming

  • it sounds like shit but looks fun

  • @cowrider1234 Runs like shit too, everytime I hit the gas it would bog. I'm doing a compression test on it today.

  • how much did you get that thing for?

  • @1999camaro3800 $200

  • that thing is awesome

  • @Ms1346793 thanks!

  • first that thing looks so cool

  • @vettet1 Yeah it deos, the rear axle needs to be as wide as the front though

  • @Fearlessfront wow so when r u going to post a new vid

  • @vettet1 Soon, I just gotta edit it now.

  • @Fearlessfront cool
