The cause is Decompression which was big not like other decompression accidents. Because the pilots couldnt notify the ATC and its was a sudden. also the bodies and remains of the flights are far from each other...

We know that the vertical stabilizer snapped off because it was found in one piece. This is not the first time this has happened on an airbus plane. Last time the co pilot was blamed for moving the rudder too much. Who will they blame this time?

@PistolPete2 that's what happened to an American Airline flight in New York, but has nothing to do with AF 447. in new york it was an A300 with mechanical control system, AF 447 was an A330 with flight envelope protection. in this type of aircraft, you can not "move the rudder too far" because the computer forbids it.

the reason the vertical stabilizer was found in one piece is that it snapped of when the plane hit the water surface with a speed of -10.000 ft per minute.
