I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! I saw a couple minutes of the bar scene from the new film (uploaded on YT), and I can already tell that it doesn't come anywhere CLOSE to being as good as the original.

I can't get over how hideous and piglike kevin bacon is and how his last name is a testament to that. I have and will never see this lame movie and I love dance films.
just an opinion, alot of people obviously like it and i wish I could.
I don't think the new one compares to the original. The story just works so well for the time period portrayed in this movie.
