I see your point, but just because an animal is captive does not mean it's part of the conservation movement. This is especially true of the pet trade as there are no regulations to provide a proper environment for the animal, nor does it (in most cases) help with a breeding effort, it's mearly an exploitation of resources. Also, dolphins smile constantly but it doesn't mean they're happy at SeaWorld, looks can be deceiving and I cannot believe that this animal is happy or healthy.

For those who are commenting about how they want a Loris as a pet, consider this: these are endangered primates and their capture is illegal. When they are babies they are easily sold because they're adorable, but to get the babies, hunters shoot the mother and pull the infant from the corpse. Also, prosimians (being lemurs, lorises, ect) normally die young as pets because people do not understand how to care for them properly. As a primatologist, clips like these are extremely frustrating.

For all you know this one could have been a rescue and you would have no idea, especially since this one looks well beyond an infant shows that who ever this owner is knows what there doing. By the way I was told that nearly 90% of earths natural inhabitants are now extinct, it's a process of life. Extinction happens, and has happened for millions of years, even before our time.
