@SuperBastido Ghosting isn't bad for me like you are mentioning. There is a very small amount when light objects are next to really dark objects but nothing but nothing even close to what you mentioned. Maybe it's because I'm using one of the supported LCD screens that are listed on the Nvidia website? They don't even list CRT's as being supported.
Ghostmaster is an 8 or 9 year old game. Really? Seriously?
I'm not sure about 3d settings but with the 3 screen setting vs 1 screen, you really should select 3 screen. Because (In LFS at least) the game actually renders 3 separate cameras with their own angles. Why? Well with a single camera with a heavy FOV, it can't render without massive stretching on the outer screens (due to rendering restrictions with all games). Play around with LFS settings. btw I've been involved with sim development and have done 3 screen and 3d sims (but not both yet)
I'm gonna ask again: What about headaches? Great review, but nobody talked about this con, and I think is very important, especially for people who intend to buy the whole thing. I don't want to sound like a douchbag, but just reviewing without mentioning all the cons makes some people think (not me) you did just for money. That's why I'm asking it.
@TheColeRoddy Most cases people don't get headaches if they adjust the seperation correctly for what feels comfortable to them. Seperation setting allows for this. Some people are comfortable with 25-30%. Others are comfortable with 50%.
I started using 3D Vision with about 35% without issue. My eyes got used to using 3D and I now am using 50% without issues. It's important to start with what's comfortable for you and then turn up seperation as you get used to it.
All these overreacted posts about the pronounciation of Peugeot is pathetic.
Especially considering that brand is a french one, and everybody knows french people really don't give a sh*t about how to pronounce foreign words. So americans and brits could suffer in pain when they hear some english words pronounced by foreigners.
You guys are close but not really there. The PEU part does not sound exactly like POO. You're saying it the english-ized way.
Go to forvo.com and see how it's pronounced.
Also whoever is in charge of the comments, let's try not to be so defensive. You guys are awesome on the show and I love watching you guys but reading the constant defensive retorts is pretty off putting.
it´s true that it is quite expensive to race a full set up like you did in the video. but there are some who already have a tv wich is 3d ready, wich work perfectly with nvidia. the nice thing about it is, that a 40 to 50 inch tv increases the immersive charater to it and it holds the framerate up with just one screen this big. last but not least gran turismo (and some other games can do 3d on the ps3. i think this is a good entry the world in 3d without spending too much money.
I tried to catch the last Peugeot out of Vietnam but refused to get in it because he didn't say it right.
I had a chance to get free racing lessons in a Peugeot from a well known F1 driver but I refused to get in it because he didn't say it right.
I was stranded in the desert and a guy asked me if I wanted a ride to safety in his Peugeot which would surely have saved my life but I refused to get in it because he didn't say it right.
Now. Can someone please tell where I can find the e-brake?
1080 vertical pixels, bah. I had a 1600x1200 monitor back in 2000! I wish the monitor manufacturers were less excited about HD and sharing manufacturing processes between TV and PC and would give me more vertical pixels. 1080 would be fine if I only cared about HDTV and Blu-Ray, but 1080 is just not enough for serious desktop use. I want at least 2/3 of my horizontal pixels, not half!
@cgpilk Turn your monitor 90degrees and you'll get 1920 vertical lines - way more than 1200. :P Seriously, resolution had to reach a point of diminishing returns and for now that point is the 1920x1080 *STANDARD*.
There's 30" 2560x1600 for professionals and freaks.
BTW, I find the 1920x1200, 16:10 lovers that harp on about about how much difference those few extra vertical pixels make possibly the most annoying people on the internet.
I'm from Australia, Purge-o, Poor-sh, Niss-anne, Mazz-da. It had to be said. This is how we (And UK? NZ? etc.?) pronounce them, perhaps you could have an "international" episode where you pronounce them like this for us :)
I have been playing GT5 in 3d and it is awesome! 3d is not a must, but it does add alot to the immersion. PS3,Mitsubishi 65 inchDLP3dtv....definitely a cheaper alternative. I wished Dirt3,Shift2,TDU2 were 3d also.
the letter U and G merge together in speach which can sometimes make it sound like an r. I've checked half a dozen French TV adverts and at no point do i hear the narrator say "poogeot", more Pe-geot.
@simracingtonight Being a Brit, and a whole hell of a lot closer to France, I can happily inform you guys that the 'Frenchies' like to say it 'puh-zhoh'... the zh sounding like someone saying 'sssh' (finger on lips be quiet kinda sound).

@JKayF1x Hmmm.. Just pulled this from Wiki.. The name is pronounced [pøˈʒo] in French, but is frequently mispronounced /ˈpɝːʒoʊ/ (pur-zhoh) in the UK.
@jammydodgerman Oh okay then. So everything on the webbies is treu??
:P
The games are downscaled to 720p i believe. But most games run in 720 anyways. And the visuals get a beating. But i would watch 3d blu rays with the PS3. No problem there.
Just call it a pug, it is French... Might be interesting for me to fetch to wreck... Wrecked French cars are always fun.
Anyways, I did consider 3D at some point, but the benefits were too low and the driver part was even less appealing at that time so I decided to go with Eyefinity instead on cheaper 60Hz displays.
I seriously doubt that 3D would give me that much extra that my taught 2D perception cannot tell me in game.
@simracingtonight lol i know. You pronounce the "Peu" in Peugeot as "Pur". It's a strange french word and most of their words aren't pronounced how they are spelt. Anyway I digress, great video as always
Zalman have 3D polarised (shutterless) solution, clear lens glasses (brighter), and bi-focal clip-on options. I'm looking to there for my next 3D. Not a projector option however. Great video & was fun to watch, you looked like you enjoyed yourselves.
The 908 HDi and the Audi TDI are the worst cars to drive on the enduracers mod. They made it that hard to allow the petrol cars do good with stability with lower power. I suggest you to test any GT1 or GT2

Anyway I digress, great video as always
jammydodgerman 9 months ago
@jammydodgerman The name is pronounced [pøˈʒo] in French, but is frequently mispronounced /ˈpɝːʒoʊ/ (pur-zhoh) in the UK.

I'd do terrible things to have a triple screen 3d setup.
