Most sell out artists are dogs of record companies. They are told what their music is suppose to have and barely have say in what it can be. That's why some underground + indie artists that go mainstream start to blow...

@TheyCallMeBradley Thing is, when a band goes commercial they tend to lose creative control, have to change to fit into a business model, the members themselves become wealthy, and so their lives change. I'm not dissing wealthy people, but there is definitely a divide between your average Joe and the really wealthy. Old fans'll just think it a shame that the connections they felt before with the band have broken, esp when future releases are noticably worse than they otherwise would have been.
