Macs have amazing software right out of the box and work really well for a long time, unfortunately they cost an arm and a leg and Apple doesn't give you a lot of choices for changing hardware. That's why most techies hate it. Linux is free and uniquely customizable while also running the fastest out of the big three. But, it has a huge learning curve.

Stable connectivity has to do with your network card in your computer, so there are windows computers with a connection 1000x more stable than a mac, but it goes both ways. If your PC only lasts 1-2 years then you were not treating it very well. It wouldn't be cheaper though. My laptop costs 900 dollars, the macbook equivalent is 2,300. Even if my PC broke in 2 years, I could get the same one and it still would be cheaper.

The big advantage is that everything on a Mac is designed to work together, Apple specs out the boards, sends the design to foxconn and they are constructed to work together, hardware and software. With Windows you must download third party drivers to make software work with hardware, unlike on a mac, where everything is designed to work together.

@user99673 Yes, OS 10 does have another digit, but regardless it is still a sub-version of OS 10. Also, the same thing was done on earlier versions, just not with a letter. The first number, Such as 8, 9, or 10 typically signify the GUI Version. Notice the difference in the GUI between the three. The 2nd number is the sub version and the 3rd number is the revision. Again, I was referring to the system. If we were going by OS, then an HP, Dell, and Toshiba would be the same. Once again Fuck Off.
