i saw this movie and loved it i really did. but it made me sick. like what they did to precious was just horrible and those for u that have seen the movie that part after precious has the baby and her mom attacks.*shudders* ugh i just wanted to cry i was so scared for her.I heard it was based on a true story then on a book??/

In fact the 'real' Precious was at least 6'4" tall (maybe as tall as 6'7"), 375-400 pounds, and has skin dark enough to match new black clothes sold in department stores. Also, Precious's abusive mother is similar in size (far, far, far larger than Mo'Nique) to Precious but lighter-complected.

I paid $13 for this movie at The Arclight in Hollywood, it was so worth it! I would never pay that much for a movie unless I knew it was going to be worth it, and "Precious" was! Go see it!
