  • Nice!!! :)

  • @MeatballEG6

    Beast of a car! :)

  • i love this!

  • @kowal789

Thanks! It was lots of fun! I love that car. Toyota did something great making that machine.

  • Looks like Toyota successfully copied the General Lees jumping abilities.

  • @Ryoku75

    hahah

  • @tommartyn I may be getting one of these shortly, any tuning suggestions or advice?

  • :) I don't know if you can tell from the vid, but we are jumping it off of a random dirt pile :) We aren't the best for advice on making the beast better :)

This is a 4-A engine, (from a corolla, some one transplanted it) your's will have a 3-A (c?) Beast in the fucker. Good engines for sure. Not sure why some one transplanted a 4-A in this thing. either would do. But seriously, they are good engines, will treat you well, no tuning required. :) Enjoy the toyota Enginerring

  • @tommartyn Meh, never hurts to ask. The one I'm looking at has a weber carb on it for some reason, probably to give it more "oomph" since its an auto.

Ever jumped a Horizon\Omni? I had one but the tranny was about to go.

  • @Ryoku75

From what i've heard the weber carbs work pretty well on toyota engines. they are supposed to be more simple. That probably helps. Yeah, probably gives it a little more power, and probably definitley uses more gas... An automatic tercel? Doesn't sound very fun :)

I've wanted an omni or horizon, but havent found any yet.

  • @tommartyn I'd say get a K-Car or the similar G-Car over an Omni, they have more durable trannies. And if you can get the 5-speed stick, with an Omni\Horizon you're looking at 0-60 in 8-seconds stock, though they won't last too many races.

And the grille will probably have one of the plastic tabs holding the top broke, almost every Omni\Horizon\GLH I've ever seen has a broken grille tab, or a broken grille altogether.

  • zzzzzzzzzz

  • @cobra11669

    yyyyyyyyyyy

  • Nice vid pal.

  • @petemossinc

    Thanks man!

  • Tough little car.

  • @Scioneer

For sure man, everyone who drove it, and beat the balls off it was really impressed with it.

  • Yea that is why ther eis tons of older jap peices of shit on the road today....Not.

  • @CSXRockford

I see just as many older piece of shit Japanese cars and trucks on the road as i do older piece of shit american cars and trucks. The american vehicles have stronger frames, and thicker metal, and the japanese vehicles have better engineering and better fuel mileage. You win out either way you go. Both have their advantages, and their places with people. Some people don't need crazy strong vehicles, but need to save money on gas, and can't afford to be fixing stuff often.

  • @tommartyn how did you build the jumps and how long did it take you?

  • @koochaloo

I built it with old 1960s garden tractors :) Ploughed the dirt with one, then used a front dirt blade to push it up into a pile. probably took about a month in a half. i was mainly doing it just for fun.

  • @tommartyn Thats what I've tried to stress to so many Pro-Japanese beater buffs, you want Japanese engineering but with an American body.

    Europe though, its anyones guess.

  • @thewhoissuperb24

    Not really.

  • @CSXRockford

Actually, yeah, they can. Especially toyotas. We've done some serious testing on the beasts, and they really hold up well.

  • I got an AD for Toyota safety updates! HAHAHA ohhh my gas pedal stuck and my car crashed into an old man walking his dog!!! Toyota will probably have this comment removed but it is true.

  • How would toyota have the comment removed??? :) Toyota aren't an evil government or some shit, they're a really good caring company, who've gone above and beyond what other company's would do to fix problems their cars might have. They recalled all of the cars that had the POSSIBILITY of unlikely gas pedal sticking, and made it so it couldn't happen. Then the owner of toyota publicly apologized for any lack of quality, or injury to anyone in anyway. Like to see an American company do that...

  • one tercel- 500 dollars

    one dirt mond- 100 dollars

paying one possibly to jump the mound in the car- 50 dollars

laughing your ass off when his face smacks the steering wheel- priceless

  • @cucomberedpickles

The tercel was free, The dirt mound was mainly an investement of time, pushing it into the pile with 1960's garden tractors, and of course jumping the pile was for fun.

Drew did jump this years later and smashed his head on the windshield, which luckily didn't hurt at all, But its really fucked up that you'd want some one to smash their face on the steering wheel... What the fuck?

  • РАЗЬЕБАЙ!!! тупой америкос

  • @mihan660

  • i love toyotas :)

  • @treesapa

They are some of the most amazing cars. They just completely do all that a car should, and usually more. :)

  • I used to abuse my Tercel all the time.. I called it fat, stupid, ugly.. all that stuff and it took it like a little fat stupid ugly car should.. it ran over my dog later that same day.

they can't take any kind of abuse at all.

  • @mudguts

Seriouly, can't take anykind of abuse at all? :) haha, Well, I guess i'll have to share some proof to the contrary with you. Turns out, Like all toyota's pretty much, they can take a crazy amount of abuse. It almost can't be described, how much abuse they can take with no problem.

yeah, i'll send you one of MANY videos we have of beating the shit out of this thing.

  • @tommartyn I meant mental abuse, not physical abuse. I use to slap my Toyota like mad.. but call it fat.. and it just cries and moans..

  • @mudguts

hahahah :) thats awesome man, I gotcah now. Yeah, we always talk pretty nice to our toyotas, and give them alot of compliments. They do seem to like that more.

  • @thewhoissuperb24

haha! yeah man! Its really amazing the abuse they can take. This was actually nothing at all for this tercel. There was another day that was just totally crazy with the car. I'm going to send it to you, you can check it out if you'd like. Very Crazy. Ended with a nose dive crash off the pile :)

  • lol

  • This the same one with the corolla motor in it?

  • Oh yeah! :) its got the 4A engine!

  • Sweet. How long did it take to transplant it?

  • I actually bought if from a guy with the engine in it already. but its a small engine, and its not fuel injected so it probably wouldn't take that long. i think everything would bolt up correctly and all.

  • Go big or go home!!! Check my video to see how it's done.

    FBGM Out!

  • hahah, yeah... this is at my home. i guess i could have parked the car, and walked up to my house...

wasn't going for a big jump thing, just wanted to have a jump i could gently jump for a long time, get airborn, but land nicely, and just keep it up, its a fun thing you know? the tercel's too fun to destroy in one jump... especially with no one around.

  • 1:03, thats a good one...

  • yeah, if only the pile was a little longer, so i could go faster, higher, and still land on the jump... should probably work on that...

  • i hope you not destroy the volvo 745 i vant that car

  • well, don't plan on destroying it, but to be honest, you probably will not ever have the car. you may be far away. and i don't really plan on getting rid of it.

  • Lol! This is one of the funniest videos I've seen on here!!!!!

  • lol put some lawn mower tires on it 12" on the 13" youll have to beat but its fun as hell when you get them on there ,it was tight but we got them on

  • that would make a big difference! did you use a machine to change them or did you do it by hand? what kind of tractor tires did you use?

  • it was a small tractor like one of yours it was a 12 inch mower tire it had square knobbies or tread we used dishwashing lquid some pry bares we put on a 13 inch rim the rubber was kinda soft they didnt put up to much of a fight

  • and what did you put them on? by the way

  • I could see the poor little simplicity sitting there...

Cool to see what the hill was made for!

  • yeah, thats as far as i made it, until the fiberglass things gave out... so i left it there. ran the engine for a while though.

i need to adjust it i think... the pile. its not quite right for jumping.
