The security people at U.S. airports are pretty tolerant about male transvestites when they go through the checkpoint. I've heard transvestites from Canada talk about their experience coming into the U.S. They said the security guys even joked with them when going through luggage. Being transvestite - OK. Being born in Yemen - not so much.
ive had soo many crushes, ive got one on Johnny Depp at the minute and Ian Somerhalder, and now Eddie Izzard, he looks hotter with makeup and womens clothing, he just carries it off somehow, ive seen some rather nice pics of him on Google Images, if anyone wants me to send the pics ive got then message me sometime :P.
ah I love Eddie... can't hear much of an American accent, just his usual speaking voice :-/
oh and it doesn't take long to look up that every British monarch for the last 250 (oh OK 249) years was born in England; Victoria married a German prince; the Royal family changed from Saxe-Coburg to Windsor during the First World War.
there name was hanover which is german, as are the origins of the royal family. of course the name was changed to winsor during the war as a german name was obviously not so fashionalble. this i know is true
We were talking about the British royal family, not the English people. The Saksen-Coburg family is originally a German royal family which, in the 19th century, managed to spread itself into almost all the European royal families, including the British royal family. During World War 1 the British king changed his name to Windsor - for obvious reasons (you don't want to show you're of German origin when your people are fighting the Germans...).
@AiaAziz They also had to learn to speak proper British English during WWI. Before that, they had heavy German accents which, due to no radio and film, the British never heard.
To be fair, the Queen must be the only person in England who actually sounds like that! And I thought 'The Queen's English' referred to the actual language she uses (having been taught by very expensive tutors how to use the words, grammar and punctuation correctly), not the accent she speaks in...
SafeInYourSoul, YouTube arguments ARE silly, but I likes them! :D
Eddie: "Just because it is written in a constitution it doesnt mean you have freedom."
We Scandinavians are shocked to hear the the Queen is German. Is she? Wass is dass?? Is she not of English origin? Hmmm.. the Danish viking King Knut should have put the Danish flag all over Britain back in 965 and KEPT IT. But if London was New Copenhagen it would have been a very sexy city free of fat torries hehe.. Eddy you are a funny action transvestite! lol
yep..the british royal family are german... which caused tension in world war 2 because the british royal family and ther german royal family are actually very closely related ^^
King George the fifth changed the the royal families name from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to windsor.. to make it sound less german.
There may no longer be a german royal family, but there used to be atleast...hence why the British royal family is actually mostly German in its origin.
No, thats how he's always sounded. He is quintessential english accent. Just because he isnt going around saying 'innit blood!' doesnt mean it isnt english, its the queens english!
But that's how he talks all the time, isn't it? I can't really hear any American myself to be honest, or at least no more than usual. He sounds the same as he always has, to me. Though I've never been able to quite place his accent - maybe he's just lived in a lot of different places so it's a conglomeration of lots of different accents. :)
@flooeee He's twins. That's why you notice a different accent. Take a look at the Twins & Doubles playlist on my channel. All or most major performers have a twin. I'll try to put up two clips of the Eddie twins on the playlist so you can see it.
@savage6851 Hes done alot of american film and speaks 3 different languages. Im a yank from the way north, but the longer i stay where i live the more i lose my accent. It just happens the longer you are in a certain area

Common misconception, the saxe-Coburgs are Dutch, not German.
