If you need a laptop cooler what's probably happened is that dust has built up so much on the heatsink that the fan can't cool it down anymore. Happened to our Latitude d600 and is a well known problem for these models.

wrong i actual have 2 an old hp zv5000 and a new hp dv6500 and neither of them need a laptop cooler what so ever dude

pointless, why not design it on the actual laptop soon you'll be buying this and that and another 1k worth of equipment when it should be all in one
