@MasonMcw Youtube can upload videos up to 2gb. If you look on right hand side, you can upload videos which are more than 2gb. hope this helps.

That was simple and quick to do - thank you ... but when I click on what I thought was the html file to preview (it was called an xml - is that the same thing?) - it opened up on the net with a long list of jibberish and a note saying that internet explorer had "restricted this webpage from running scripts ..." and the new substantially reduced file opened up with the most horrendous squealing noise .... HELP !

Ever since I've been on youtube, they allowed me to upload 1 GB of video. I've been on youtube since 2006, and it hasen't changed. 1 GB = 1024 MB. Not 100 MB..

So where does it say only 100 mbs?

well your going to be mad to hear this, but youtube has a limit on video length you can upload, you CAN NOT upload a video over 11 minutes on youtube. And the funny thing about youtube's lame video formate is it seems to add an extra second to the uploaded video. EX. 4:12 video becomes a 4:13 video once uploaded a video, now there's the trick you need to record a 10:59 video on youtube and it goes to 11 minutes and if it's 11 minutes then uploaded to youtube youtube will just reject it.

Simple answer is Yes! Compressing from .AVI or .MOV to flash (.flv) with this software will significantly reduce the size of your video file - therefore, it will upload much faster.

There will be 2 output files, both have "_NEW" added to the name of the original file. For viewing the output file, click the html version to play it in your browser. It will play the .flv version. It's the xxx_NEW flv file that you will upload to youtube.
