@VolundoftheSky this is the smith and wesson urban camo karambit, I recommend for beginners, I feel it is a good starting off knife. for a more expensive knife I have the fox karambit. it has been good for me. there really is no fixed blade karambit that I would especially recommend in particular.
@wmpyr and good not folders? i want one that is a solid piece of metal, possibly with some kinda of kydex sheath that i can attack to an lbv, but the sheath not too important as i can jus have one maid if i really like the knife. folders have too many parts that can when or lossen when practicing and require some maintenence. i looked at the unuted cutlery undercover but i dont like the extra loop hole toward the tang were your index finger should be in reverse group....
@oyjnkti imo, the best way to learn anti grabbing is to learn grappling. The full system I teach incorporates complete grappling including ground fighting, like in the knife scene from Saving private Ryan.
@SuperIndian5 great to hear! I suggest affordable first before you decide to upgrade and invest in a more expensive one, so I recommend the Smith and Wesson urban camo karambit.
@wmpyr What then? I really like the emerson combat and super karambit, however they're quite hard to get if you're not in the US. Any other knife in mind?
@ViciousTraditions81 I use the Smith and Wesson urban camo karambit. More expensive one I own is the fox knives karambit based from the emerson design.
Man I like that cross-jab idea; although I was taught to be super careful about crossing your limbs in front of your body - but that looks like a lethal cross with that karambit swinging along with it.
@MrLeonidas0001 thanx bro! not crossing the arms is definitely a nice rule to keep, but on the other spectrum, it may occur and when it does to know how to continue fighting from there can be very beneficial.
I'll be following this series closely. I appreciate you taking the time to put more focus into the karambit, and also continuing to do what you do here on YT!
hi sensei wmpyr?so glad to see that you have made new exciting vids esp wid diz karambit vids. Good timing cos just got back into solo training 3 days ago.so long with just jogging for 20-30 minutes stuff..hehe..my shoulder blades are just so sore from doing stick and knife drills after several weeks of setting my stuff aside. I'll show u my custom made tracker knife and the 4 S&W Karambits I told u about. ;-)..so many guys here are into karambits cos of ur vids sensei.ges u gotta deliver.LOL.
@TheBatahsug good to hear from you! yeah definitely will look forward to seeing your knives! yeah with the move and everything, I'm also trying to get back into normal workout routine.
I am glad to see you start this series. My buddy gypo called me yesterday to let me know he just got his Karambit in. Excellent timing! Thank you for the outstanding effort and video!
@LMarshall32 fantastic man, I think there was about 10 guys within a month that contacted me saying they just got a Karambit! I'm just glad that the interest is there!
@poormansjamesbond thank you man, I hope to cover in this 10 part series, techniques ready to be used for the street, exercises that will improve your general performance, and rare info to deepen your understanding of this knife. take care bro
I've been into karambits for a long time now, and there was never much info on yt about them because so many "knife nuts"don't like the hawksbill design. I AM a knife nut, and I carried a Super Karambit edc for 2yrs, worked perfectly. I dont think there is enough exposure on this style knife, and these informative combat tactics are a godsend! 本当にありがとうな!もっとビデオつけておねがいする!
Spread those wimgs and fly. Lol. Sweet these vids start just in time I'm getting my newly fixed steel tiger back from the sharpener this week. Woo hoo
@PavlovSandor ah sweet perfect timing! sorry haven't been able to watch your vids, will be looking forward to doing so and making a ton more Karambit vids soon as I get my internet set up!
what karambit are you using here? Also, what's a good fixed blade karambit for under 100 or folding karambit under 150? Thanks.
