I'm thrilled to hear this! You will not be disappointed with your purchase once you find out (1) how easy these flutes are to play and (2) what they sound like in person. I'll warn you ahead of time, though: playing these flutes becomes and addiction; you'll want to buy more and more of them once they've got their hooks in you! Oh, and I've been playing since March 2007 - not that long, actually - but I've tinkered with musical instruments all my life.
@piriajeoshi Haha I can so relate to that. I have only been playing for a year and I have two flutes, a B and an F# and now I am looking forward to a double flute, haha.
You're very good at playing. yous hould record a meditation CD. That would be wonderful.
After looking at this flute, it reminds me...
I have another flute, exactly like this one, and sadly, I lost the mounting peice that goes on top....You know, that fipple thing?? I don't know what they're called, precisely, but you know, that the little figurine that has a groove in it to push air....
Thanks again for all of your comments. They truly mean a lot to me. Most commonly, that little piece of wood is alternatively called the block, the bird, or the fetish. You could contact the maker, if you know who it is, and have him/her send you another one. Since the flue, or air channel was cut into the bottom of your flute's block, that would probably be the best way to go unless you're keen on making one yourself. Good luck in getting that up and running again! Peace ~ Bruce
