The Dead Boys ain't rockabilly, okay there are rockabilly influences in their music, but the first punk music bands(dead boys included) wanted to go back in the old stuff like pop rock/garage rock (the kingsmen, the troggs, the sonics, the flamin' groovies...) rockabilly/rock'n roll bands (the trashmen, the shadows of the night...) and to proto-punk bands (MC5, the stooges). So dead boys are a litlle beat rockabilly man (like some others bands like the cramps)

I own three Dictators albums and saw Manitoba's Wild Kingdom in the early '90's. Great shit! Dead Boys are one of my alltime fave bands...RIP Stiv.
