You know, up until three weeks ago I knew nothing of the existence of the Adyghe people or their history. I happened upon them purely by chance (I was doing research on Khazars…) I guess there is only so much that can be taught in World History and Geography… Sad.

What impresses me the most about them is their Xabze ('h-Ahb'-zeh… - not sure of pronunciation); not to mention the traditional military outfit of the men - very elegant! They have a treasure trove of traditional performing arts and culinary traditions as well.
