I appreciate the Anaconda, but I think it's impractical. Enormous pistols are, at the end of the day, kind of silly. Fun at the range, but much more "show" than "go."

I defy anyone, for example, to get off six .44 shots off quickly and accurately, especially on draw. Perhaps after years of practice and $1000s in ammo. Ditto with the 10mm.

The mag-heads out there don't realize that if you get in a gun fight, you will rarely make it past 6 shots anyway. Someone will drop first. Unlike the 9mm, the one hit by the .357 will be on the ground with one hit.

.357 revolvers are perhaps my favorite guns to shoot! The only thing that would make that one better is a 6 inch barrel. Are the Anaconda (I think thats what they're called.) .44s just as nice?

I've got the Colt Python and the brother the Colt Trooper, love them both, but before my father gave me the Trooper, he did a trigger job, and single action on that thing oh man you need less then a pound to pull and the hammer does not move forward when you push on it, quality job. Love them both, and both are kept ready to roll with some Speer Gold Dot 158 Grainers and it's Oh My Sweet Cherry and Pumpkin Pie, I feel sorry for the man who faces them

That is a fabulous piece BDH... There is something particularly beautiful about Colt revolvers, although, if I counted all the revolvers I have owned, there were far more S&W's than Colts in my life at one time or another. My big regret is that I never owned one of these myself... It is a shame that they are no longer made as well. Perhaps one day? Good to see you love the classics as well as the new and fabulous.

good video Big Daddy. my father sold me a Python 357 with a 6" barrel back in 1971 or 1972 for 200$. someone took it off my hands in 1996 while i was at work though. sweet gun for sure.
