  • wheres part 2??????

  • Bobby does'nt get enough credit for making Jerry sound ggod

  • they played 3 /30/ 68 at the ballroom and did dark star, perhaps youre mistaken>?

  • Pure genius my friends :)

  • so

    beautiful

  • I just bought the 21 min version for .99 from amazon nice!!

  • Reason Tatters!

  • Total Props. that's good stuff.

  • amazing. i'm speechless

  • zelda where is the finger powder? is it in the blue tube or the yellow one? i can't remember. oh, darling, you must check out this dark star thingy, it's all the rage with the kids!

  • drmlabs, how do you know it was a one man effort? I'm not callin u out or anything I'm just curious.

Do u kno ncghost or whoever did this?

  • If this were actually the Dead, I'd say it was a great version.

So obviously I'm saying i think these guys did a great tribute!!

  • whats even crazier, just one guy did this, played all the instruments.

  • I didn't even noticed that.....

    I AM NOT WORTHY!

  • 1969 was NOT a leap year.. good jam, i don't like different intro though.

  • This is an amazing replica! The bass and guitars are just right! SPOT ON!

  • tube amps make all the difference.

no question in my mind anymore.

  • It's Lane Steinberg...available on his new CD or from iTunes

  • alright this sounds A LOT like any 60s performance of dark star, except the vocals obviously

  • who is that singin? is this the dead or what?

  • who is this? great stuff!

  • great stuff!!!

  • *amazed*

  • it!!

  • good job

  • I forgot how great Pigpen's playing was and how different the successive keyboard players interpreted their parts for this timeless piece. Thanks for posting.

  • this isn't the dead. good playing though.

  • Pretty good imitation...

  • this isnt the dead, but whoever made this really must know their music well...the different parts change with each other just like they do in real live recordings. how did you make this?

  • haha usedmtvpromos is an idiot

  • haha nevermind just realized that he was making a joke as he realized this is a fake, now im the idiot

  • Eyes right!

  • Is it NEW YEARS yet ????

    Drop ;)

  • Ha very funny,

    Great cover, well done

  • ???

  • The Buzz Rickson's of Dead recreation.

  • before the signing starts you can tell tho..by the drumming, and mainly aesthetic choices by the jerry lead git player. the weir player does a good job too.. damn, man! this is like amazing! the amps, the lead git distortion, the wier rhythm git (superb), the lesh bass, the authentic hammond...if i was a dead teacher and this was a dead class i'd given this an A+

the dead were so original. so naturally idiomatic. it takes pure originality to be able to copy something this well. major props

  • *singing *weir

  • dude...this shit sounds almost EXACTLY like the dead. my god! impressive

  • who knows, maybe back in the 60's it was possible to play on 2/30 what with all the LSD and stuff...anything was possible then...with LSD, even nonsense makes sense

  • not the Grateful Dead, but some very nice jams none-the-less. Give it a lesson - very respectful of the 68-69 Dead vibe. Amazing really. Yeah gotta REALLY love the music to create something this sweet. thanks

  • oops - 'lesson' should read 'listen'!

  • I don't think anyone played anywhere on February 30 1969! Still pretty good performance anyway.

  • @xxmiles IDEM

  • from all accounts the Dead didnt play on 2-30-69..

At the Fillmore West 2/28 and 3/01/69. Good DS, thnks for posting
