  • Hail to the King, baby!

  • I always though that was buddy Hollys song not elvis's haha,

  • Elvis sang it in his movie "Jailhouuse Rock". I love Zeppelin but Elvis did it so much better.

  • THEY SHOULD OF LEFT THIS ONE TO BUDDY HOLLY OR ELVIS!

  • And thus, the explanation for the origination of Dread Zeppelin is revealed to the teeming masses...

  • The name of this music is "Baby, I Don't Care"

  • @GuidderDuarte songs full title is "(You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care"

  • @ChristellaKury I have seen the movie "King Creole," Elvis. The song name is "Baby I Don't Care."

But I did not say that contemptuous tone in just commented

    ^ ^

  • @GuidderDuarte Elvis does not perform this song in King Creole - "Its from Jailhouse rock."

Search YouTube for "Elvis Presley # Baby I Don't Care (Jailhouse Rock)"

  • @ChristellaKury o_o

    Yeah, thats right

    xD

There are many Elvis movies, I got confused ...

    That ugly error, no?

    xD

    Sorry, please...

  • I'm constantly amazed by how many Rock & Roll classics that Zeppelin could just pull out of virtually nowhere and perform masterfully. Man, they were some seriously talented motherf'ers.

  • I have this on vynal. The Elvis version anyway :)

  • Once Elvis or Johnny Cash did a song it became their song even Chuck Berry admitted that!!!!

  • @BlueDiamondPro the answer is No; you can not educate anyone.

Song was written by Leiber and Stoller and appreared on Elvis' 1957 album Jailhouse Rock.

It was recorded by Buddy Holly and released as a single in 1961 two years after his death

  • @ChristellaKury nice one !

  • @ChristellaKury Well sorted

  • @ChristellaKury Thanks for the education. I was too used to alot of elvis's songs being cover songs of other great artists. You know your stuff.

  • @ChristellaKury you must be bout my age ,,,,or older?

  • @BlueDiamondPro fuuuckin A

  • @BlueDiamondPro Leiber and stoller..

  • @BlueDiamondPro all early stuff by zep, beatles ,stones ,floyd, even Bowie, were influenced by , if not remakes of earlier tunes by earlier artists,,so began rock and roll.

  • @ROMEORAUNCH I know this. but most people just know Zepp, Stones, etc. all great bands. but its kinda said that few know Berry or others. Everybody deserves their credit, and alot of times they dont always get what they deserve, which is sad but happens anyway.

  • @BlueDiamondPro evil recorded b4 chuck berry. and elvis was selling more tickets then any other act out their until Led-Zeppelin got into america and rocked our heads off. :D then they out sold the beatles in cds while they were at it. Led-Zep was the kings of rock. :D

  • YES INDEED ELVIS WAS THE KING, HE INFLUENCED ALMOST ALL OF ROCK N ROLL, LED ZEP TOOK THAT EARLY ROCK AND BLUES AND TRANSFORMED IT INTO A MUSIC FORM LIKE NO OTHER BAND HAD DONE BEFORE OR WILL EVER DO IN THE FUTURE, I SAW THEM OPENING NIGHT AT MADISON SQ.GARDEN IN '77 WHEN I WAS 16, I'VE BEEN TO OVER 200 CONCERTS, AND I ACTUALLY GOT A HIGH OFF SEEING ZEPPELIN, I SNUCK DOWN FROM WAY UP TOP TO THE SEATS RIGHT NEXT TO JIMI N IT BLEW MY MIND, I CAN STILL SEE IT IN MY MIND TODAY, WHAT A FUCKIN SHOW!!!

  • ELVIS SHOULD HAVE SAT IN WITH ZEP BEFORE HE DIED, WOULDNT THAT BE A BLAST!!!!

  • @jroxx11211 You know Plant would be freakin stutterin!!! .The mighty Zep Bowed to the King!!! it is great they actually hung out at a hotel before Elvis passed. Thats a dream come true,as all of the 4 loved Presley.

  • This is awsome

  • neither the audio or the vid is rare

  • Awesome video editing.

  • ive been looking at alot of covers of this buddy holly masterpeice and zeps is defintly the best in my opinoin

  • Great fake !!! I loved it ...

  • Yep,m noticed on the vid splice right off. Not even close for plant singing, onyl the breaks for guitar lol. NICE TRY :)

Good job to Zep on the cover though

  • Ramones?????????

  • @slashguitarrr Yes and it`s great :))))

  • @ZOSOrulz1 they have done ALOT of Elvis. Search some of the Whole Lotta Love medleys, alot of them are on released material and some are on bootlegs...but they are there

  • 7 ppl are circles

  • pwn

  • Awesome video!!

  • I used to watch and rewatch the section of "Jailhouse Rock" where he sings this song. I wish Zeppelin would have ended it the way he did in the film.

  • @nautilus151515 thats really funny, I did the exact same thing

  • @heyzog actually, it just so happens that this is the led zeppelin version. Weird isnt it?

  • Zepp covering The King, what can be better?

  • @dt089 ha ha plant on vacation and doin kakoe and loseing to a asian guy doin a elivs song

  • @thebatmansteve lol REALLY!?

  • @dt089 Queen covering the King ;)

  • Led Zeppelin was the first heavy-metal band & we're hugely inspired by 50s Rock N Roll. So we would not have heavy-metal without Elvis

  • The best cover out there of this song.

  • @RockerForLife74

to zobacz sobie Queen Wembley 86'. jest o wiele lepszy!

  • Elvis was one of the bigest influence on Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin band ok,dont you ever never tell some different,Robert always say it.

  • I just can't stop watching this. The blonde broad singing this song is gorgeous and I love how her blouse is open so you can see her beautiful tits.

  • Man id love to see Zepellin do Elvis all covers

  • P. S. : Personally, i think that it's simply, always, the same song! The difference is the singer/group style. (Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Freddie Mercury/Queen, Led Zeppelin John Lennon ecc.) - Elvis & Holly: old r'n'r style; Queen, Lennon & Led Zeppelin: modern/hard-heavy rock style. - Then.... De gustibus non disputandum est ! Bye!

  • "(You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care" is a song written in 1957 by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. It has become a minor pop standard, with notable versions being performed by Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly. Elvis Presley's version was released on his Jailhouse Rock EP, and reached number fourteen on the R&B charts [1]. Buddy Holly's version has appeared on several of his greatest hits albums. (From: Wikipedia) - One think is "who is the writer", another think is "who is the singer".

  • I think Queen did the best version.

  • Queen's version ROCKS !!

  • This is the Buddy Holly version.

  • they are best what they do

  • Nice Job Mate

  • Nice job with the overdubbing to make it look real The only thing that would top this would be the actual footage from this audio performance.

Bonzo was the best and always will be!

    Paneeks/Boston

  • i prefer Freddie Mercury version

  • good job trying to sync up video from tsrts

  • God, what a voice...

  • Page is very good at play '50-s style rock&roll solos.....

  • i love this song and Zeppelin, how perfect!

  • Queen also covered this beautiful song

  • they are cool ...!:P Rock On!

  • Robert Plant é nitidanente influenciado por Elvis Presley

  • this is amazing!!!

  • ↓Me ,Toooooo! What a surprise!

  • I only knew the Joni Mitchell version !

    Cool!

  • maybe it was the females trying to impersonate him!

  • it was the females impersonating him, impersonating them. lol.

  • This is during the song "Whole Lotta Love" live at South Hampton in 1973 just before the release of Houses Of The Holy

  • do u know where i can download the south hampton movie? or audio?

  • Try tapecity org. you will need to join but its bootleg heaven.

  • Hahahaha. How great!

  • Baby, I don't care!

    but you know I do!

    hee hee

  • Yes, I think that you're alright about the place: Southampton, but not in 1972. 1973 Southampton University I think is ok. Regards.

  • I was talking about the video.

  • Then you're right. The Video is of course at Earls Court 1975. Regards

  • Looks like footage from The Song Remains The Same movie

  • It's a concert in 1975 at Earl's Court.

  • No, it isn't 1975 at Earls Court . It's from the album edited "How the west was wone" and this fragment appears in the medley of Whole lotta love, LA Forum 1972.

  • no it doesnt

  • this is by far the most entertaining footage ive seen on the internet yet! i love elvis and i love zepplin!!!

  • this from southampton university in 1973

  • No it is not. This is 1975 in Earls Court.

  • The footage is from Earl's Court, the soundtrack is from South Hampton University. Its just edited in such a way so that the video matches the sound.

  • @Fezz050 - sorta, or almost lol

  • i have the bootleg from southhampton and its the music matched with video from earls court

  • your so square.

    baby i dont care.

  • you're

  • i salute you to match the video!!! there are some funny parts because the video really fits

  • this isn't elvis

  • Not nearly as self-indulgent as they typically were. I guess they decided to let it be about Elvis.

  • I have to say, Queen didi it a little better.

  • Fuck queen...

  • i second that : )

  • i third that!

  • i fourth that

  • @NastyNole1

    Fuck you, stupid asshole!

  • @NastyNole1

I lol'd.. considering Freddie Mercury is just about the only singer that rivals Plant as the greatest singer ever. Not to mention how the band can capture the crowd and hold them in the palm of their hand during live performances. It's just silly and pointless to try to insult Queen.

  • @NastyNole1 fuck yourself

  • I dont care for this but I do like Hot Dog :-)

  • I luv Elvis Zeppelin, and I've never heard this one before, so, eye thank yew. I can't think of a better premise for a reunion gig than a 50% Elvis cover night. You know what else I like? Matchbox (slow down, baby you movin way too fast) from Burn like a Candle 72 in LA. That song rules.

  • learn how to spell you american emo kid

  • that song is called slow down, matchbox is carl perkins. beatles did that one too.

  • page really needs to release the 73 southampton show officially

  • Rumour has it that Robert Plant offered Elvis Led Zeppelin as a house band on a recording date. Imagine.....

  • I read Robert Plant talking about Elvis in Rolling Stone where they met him back stage and Elvis and Plant sung Love Me, and really talked on how Elvis' voice influenced him.

  • ELVIS song

  • Baby i dont care , just so you know not your so square

  • i am starting the pole shift survival group.

let me know if u r interested,

  • youre right- the zeps were almost star struck when they met big E.

  • Sallie46...your right about them havin R and B roots.....but Elvis was a big influence on Robert Plant....it is well documented......they did a version of jailhouse rock also

  • OMG I had no idea Zep did Elvis. Awesome! Acid rock? Don't think so - Zep's roots were completely r&b.... guess it was the marketing tag of the day.

  • i am so in love with this man's vice!

  • Great Elvis song!!! Love It....

  • Great tribute to the king...he was the one who started it all, we all owe him!

  • Nice video! Love the synchronization of Bonzo!

  • die, just die.

  • it was buddy holly's song

  • it was buddy holly's song

  • Don't mean to piss everyone off. I'm a huge Led Zep fan, but the King's version is miles ahead of this one.

  • perhaps, but give 'em a break, they're in concert.

  • love Page's move at 1:22

  • Great cover! But it's called "(Your so square) baby i don't care"

  • It wasnt elvis' song though, he he didnt write the song, just peformed it.

  • Zeppelin could take polka and make it badass lol

  • That's True :)

  • this doesnt look reasl...is it?

  • Naa its a bootleg with a different vid over it

  • The Robert Johnson crossroads thing is nonsense. In the ancient world they had a concept whereby the roads from/to heaven, hell and Earth met at a certain place called trivia. Its where we get the latin name from road "via" from from, Tri means 3 and via means road thus trivia. Now thie means the crossroads is a y junction and not an x. Ive already told you to much...

  • this is elvis song from the movie jailhouse rock

elvis the king of rock n'roll

  • Led Zep could have been a country band. They were more a blues band though. And forget goth, metal, or rock 'n' roll. We all know that the blues was the original "Devil's music"
