Bought a Golf Edition 30 (Tuned to stage III by Aps) Unbelievable power (approx 340bhp) after 3K rpm. Very difficult to use the power in a controlled fashion - need more practice. Using Goodyear Eagle F1s. Lots of wheelspin & minor torque steer. Acceleration is epic. M3 is good car but no match & overpriced.

1st off it is easy for the GTI to cost half as much as the M3 WITH mods, stg3 (which is basically a little more than those mods) would cost $9k TOPS! not a penny more!

2nd in a loaded GTI the build quality is on par with BMW and has near the options, so yes you could pull up at the valet with your lady
