@damans music didn't decide our freedom of speech these two subjects are not even related so before you go off cyber bulling evaluate the situation and don't get off subject radiohead IS the past. Duh Anberlin IS a current band, you hater
@SanEmeryFedo Learn some respect bitch. If Radiohead is "the past", then why are Anberlin even bothering to cover their song ? You are also "now" - yet there are MILLIONS of people who are "the past" who have raped you as regards their contribution to society and the advancement of the human race. Next time you open your stupid whiny little mouth, consider you only have free speech and the internet because of "the past", you ungrateful little shit.
Just terrible. The "sitting around the campfire" version of Creep. Did absolutely nothing original with the arrangement. Radiohead is a revolutionary band, whereas Anberlin continues to demonstrate they're nothing more than a cliché. I will say he hit those high notes spot on, but as a whole it was boring and uninspired.
@PaperMoshe It doesn't matter if they did something new or original, you still wouldn't like them. They could do something to blow you away, but people here have already formed their opinions and have no reason to care to change them.
Now let's discuss why all I see on anberlin vids are the same people talking about how terrible they are. Stop looking up their shit if you don't like it.
@scars73 I doubt Anberlin would laugh. There's a reason they covered this song: It's a fantastic song written by a band that changed the face of music. Matter of fact, I bet most of your favorite bands would say that Radiohead took music to the boundaries of what was acceptable at the time. And bands today are still standing on their shoulders to get a head up. Matthew Bellamy for instance said that Radiohead was a huge influence on him.
@PaperMoshe I'm not laughing at Anberlin. I'm laughing at your comment that Radiohead is revolutionary. Revolutionary is the Beatles. Rolling Stones. Led Zeppelin. Madonna. Not Radiohead. You may like them and they may be a good band, but they are not revolutionary. Don't get offended. Sorry, I have no idea who Matthew Bellamy is.
@scars73 Radiohead is revolutionary, unless you've been in prison for the last 15 years...and whay does Anberlin even consider doing this song when they have to change the lyric to appease their Disney loving fans? Seems lame to me......Anberlin sucks :)-~
@Rimbaud1531 Actually I am very familiar with all of Radiohead songs, the thing is that the reason most people know Creep is because it is one of those songs that everyone at one point can relate to that song compared to their others
why are people arguing over the religion of the band and the fact that they said "very" instead of "fuckin'"? it's clearly stated that it's a cover, not a carbon copy.
the lead singer is a pretty devout christian, you dont need a 'fuckin' in there to MAKE the song, the song is more than that and if u had any senses u would understand that
dont be sorry, im not wrong. if you listen to the RADIO EDIT version, he does not say "fucking" he says "very". i know on the album, he says fucking, but i did not say "on the album he says very", no i said "in the radio version, he says very"... Sa ya.
there music isn't christian though, and i don't believe thet are all christians because in the interviews i've heard he says "SOME of us are believers"
take a peek at the lyrics to miserabile visu, its full of biblical refrences. sometimes it comes through in stephen's writing, sometimes it doesn't. christian themes are alluded to in almost every song though
wow. great great great job. plus some of the coolest guys i think i have ever hung out with too. i dont care what you say, this blows out the original radiohead version. i love how they play it just acoustic. and do i even need to go into the bridge. good work anberlin
You know, yeah, he does have a decent voice, but I just had to watch the original after I heard this...and Thom's voice pretty much owns that song. Nobody I've seen has yet covered that kind of passion in a remake of this song.
The reason you dont just listen to radioheads version is cause stephen blows them out of the water. Just the fact that he is singing this makes it better.
Besides on radioheads version i almost wanted to turn it off during the bridge, but with anberlin's i got chills.
I don't really like it. They are doing it pretty much exactly how radiohead does it for the most part (well it sounds like it). Why don't I just got listen to radiohead's version. They aren't gonna do it better than radiohead if they try to do it exactly like radiohead. They need to add their own style and then it will be interesting.
You can't help but sing along.
