and what really surprised was that i had a bigger percent completion in oot 3ds than the one i played on the gamecube. on the gamecube, i had 18 heart containers with one piece of heart, killed 75 gold skulltulas, and as for items, i didn't know about the biggoron's sword, so i didn't know about the quest, but all the other items i had. as for this one, 19 heart containers, killed 81 gold skulltulas, found about the biggoron's sword quest (got it), and had every item except for the fourth bottle
@BTR500 I've just sent you a extremely helpful on where to find all One hundred Gold Skulltulas. If I were you, I'd write it all down, so you won't have to stay online and repeatedly watch the vid to memorize where they are all. Luckily, the descriptions tells you where to find them all.

@AustinU25 Same here. I thought that after the final battle, when you reloaded the game, Link would get to visit Hyrule, Kakariko Village ect all safe and back to normal. It was disappointing to realized that wouldn't happen.

n64 version is better, cause i got that system for more than just OOT. If i ever get a 3ds, it will just be for OOT3ds...they should have a 3ds version for the wii :(

I just beat the original Ocarina of Time for the FIRST time.I never got it as a kid and now I've reclaimed it. I only played Majoras Mask and always heard about how great Ocarina was... I truly understand now what I missed. Truly a legend.
Though the only things I never heard good things about was about the Water Temple and Navi... definitely right about both... though Navi was okay.

@REIREI29 I have the same feeling. I grew up with the N64 myself. It feels weird to see the new graphics since most of us grew up with the old graphics. It's part of our childhood. Though it's good they re-released this in this generation. Younger kids get to experience by playing this game and see how amazing it is :)

I still own my N64. this is my second one, as my first finally tore up. Lol. I don't have any systems more advanced.

Who else reached the end, and watched it with a mixture of happiness and sadness?
I was happy, because it was finally over. Ganon had been defeated, Hyrule returned to the normal peaceful ways. Seeing everyone sing and dance in celebration litterally brought a smile to my face. But, it was sad that Link couldn't see Saria any longer, that he had to become a child again, and that Navi, as annoying as she was, left. Seeing Epona at the end, running by herself, was also sad.
"Peace has returned to Hyrule. It's time for us to say goodbye." Okay now that makes sense. Her saying it in the future tense before always confused me.

in the n64 version the credits were when you were watching everybody. and it said game over at the link/zelda screen. and i could just sit there and look at it for a wile.

@V10minecraft Um because he's still alive in the past. That's why there are two timelines in the Zelda series. One where Gannondorf was defeated by Link and imprisoned and one where he wasn't. Link travelling in time and defeating Gannon only defeated him in the future. Not the past.
I know this is kinda nitpicky...but I kind of dislike how they changed some of the wording, like "it is time for us to say goodbye" instead of "when peace returns to hyrule, it will be time for us to say goodbye". And when Link takes his hand away from the ocarina, in the original, his hand swipes under hers, and I thought it was a little more evocative and compelling than what he does here. I mean, I LOVE that they did this game in better quality, but sometimes its the little things.
i got this game for my 3ds. after you beated this masterpiece, consider yourself a true gamer. :)

Who else reached the end, and watched it with a mixture of happiness and sadness?
I was happy, because it was finally over. Ganon had been defeated, Hyrule returned to the normal peaceful ways. Seeing everyone sing and dance in celebration litterally brought a smile to my face. But, it was sad that Link couldn't see Saria any longer, that he had to become a child again, and that Navi, as annoying as she was, left. Seeing Epona at the end, running by herself, was also sad.

@TheBlueReptile like hell there is no difference. the 3ds version has the credits after the link/zelda meet up.
in the n64 version the credits were when you were watching everybody. and it said game over at the link/zelda screen. and i could just sit there and look at it for a wile.

the only thing I disliked about the 3ds version was that entire Ganon transformation scence and the fight were too bright, the darker N64 version was more "oh YEAA"

back in time, his young self warns Zelda and the King of Hyrule and they arrest Ganondorf before he can do anything. That leads to the events of Twilight Princess where the sages tried to execute him.

Might call me lazy and not a real console gamer, but I prefer the OoT3D version, since I don't have to bring out the ol' 64, and I can play it in whatever position I want. It doesn't really matter to me that the graphics improved and Sheikah Stones exist... but the Boss Challenge Gauntlet is pretty fun :B
Just wish there was a Mini-Boss Challenge so I could face Dark Link.

@V10minecraft Um because he's still alive in the past. That's why there are two timelines in the Zelda series. One where Gannondorf was defeated by Link and imprisoned and one where he wasn't. Link travelling in time and defeating Gannon only defeated him in the future. Not the past.

I know this is kinda nitpicky...but I kind of dislike how they changed some of the wording, like "it is time for us to say goodbye" instead of "when peace returns to hyrule, it will be time for us to say goodbye". And when Link takes his hand away from the ocarina, in the original, his hand swipes under hers, and I thought it was a little more evocative and compelling than what he does here. I mean, I LOVE that they did this game in better quality, but sometimes its the little things.
