@DeathG4n yeah but ive never got into emulating games, ive always preferred the actual system. Companies dont make money from emulaters either so if i have the choice im going with the original
@benzo8686 I can see where you are coming from. Another point is that I guess it's also cool to have as a collector's item. Having a game in your hands and having the awesome boxart and stuff is pretty badass.
@benzo8686 lol thats funny because i was JUST gonna say, one of the good things about emulators is the space you save if you dont have much room lol. but ya it is really nice to have the item itself in the collection too. Plus re-sale is always somthing good to fall back on
@iTriGGletyi Its not that ALL new games arent for me, there are a lot of new games that i really enjoyed actually. I agree games in the 90's where A LOT of fun, im 26 now and still feel the same way about the ps1/sat ect, they blew my mind when i first played them! Im assuming in 10 years from now ill still be playing games from the NES-the ps2 and enjoying them just as much as i did when i first played'em!
I never understood why everyone hated on Sword of Vermillion. I thought it was a pretty good RPG. I liked how the dungeons were 1'st person, yet you still had maps to make it less tedious. And real-time combat instead of turn based like everything else at the time, yet you still could use spells. Good graphics & music.
I envy you for getting to play PS1 for the first time. That's going to be a treat.
I'm calling dibs on the extra games if I can lol. Great Master System haul. I'm a huge RPG fan and have yet to play a Phantasy Star. I've been procrastinating it. I also prefer the Shining Force series. Out of curiosity, what is your opinion on Okage Shadow King for the PS2?
@Kefka14 Okage is one of the most simple strait forward rpgs i played on the ps2 but its also A LOT of fun in my opinion! Love the setting and the design of the game!
i dont like having filler in any of my console collections either man i actually just sold off dragon warrior 1-4 cuz i didnt like all the level grinding u half to do
Gosh! The Master System that takes me back. My friend used to have one which had a built in Sonic game whenever you turn the console on with out a game in. Though that's here in the UK I don't know if the US version had the same feature, might be worth a check :)
World of Illusion is one of the best Co-op games for the system, I really wish we'd get a similar game this gen (Co-op platformer), though of course due to the online multiplayer focus Co-op is a rarity.
@Skmasterpiece you dont need to wish buddy. i just got rayman orinins and having a blast playing it with my wife. i also finished donkey kong country returns with her and nsmb wii. so you dont need to wish . your wish list has been answered.
So many classics from my childhood!!! Including Wondeboy 3, Miracle Warriors and Phantasy Star it doesn't get better than that. :) Oh it gets better a new Megadrive (yes I am australian :P) Phantasy Star 2 , the Shining games, Sword of Vermillion and Warriors of the Eternal Sun the very first D&D game I played.
Seriously that is an awesome haul , makes me glad to see someone else who enjoys Sega made/produced RPGs.
hm your description of animaniacs made me think of lost vikings for snes where each of your characters has different abilities that get you through the stages. its probably better than animaniacs, so even though you said you didnt like that type of game, maybe give lost vikings a try if you haven't already
Light Crusader is DEFINITELY made by Treasure, most people consider it a lower tier Treasure game, which, I can see, but I think it's a solid game regardless. Good video bro.
@Shintai123 Theyre such a great company and theyve got so many lesser-known titles ot there its insane. I think my favorite title from them is still "Beyond Oasis"
@benzo8686 I can see why you would make the mistake, the games are really bright and colorful, like a lot of Treasure games are, but yeah, not actually Treasure. Speaking of which, I wonder what Treasure has been doing lately? If they've made any new games, I am not aware of them.
@Shintai123 If they came out with somthing new that would be awesome! 30-40 members in their compnay is mind boggling with some of the classics theyve come out with, Gunstar Heros, Guardian Heros Ikaruga lots of variety in their games too!
@border205 Yeah the guy that sold it only played it once then it went into storage he said because he didnt like rpg's! So evrything works perfect! Im already 4 hours into it!
Nice! Lotta great games there. Phantasy Star was the first game that I hunted down as soon as I picked a SMS too. I think it's the best 8-bit rpg. Get your graph paper ready, lol. I snubbed pretty much all 1st-person dungeon crawlers as a kid too, but it's cool to go back now and actually enjoy them now that I know how to play them.
Cool SMS games. i actually found Phantasy Star for the SMS at the thrift store complete for 99 cents a couple of yeras ago. the only thing is im not really into RPG's lol. I used to have Toe jam and earl Panic on Funkatron complete back in the day but i used the box cover art as a poster when i was in middle school. SMH. I regret doing that to alot of my genesis games back in the day.
@thelightseeker94 Its funny because i started playing it RIGHT when i got it a few weeks back and i was at the final stage on the hardest setting and sure enough it froze lol
Games worth playing for these systems
Wanderers Y's vanished omen
phantasy star 1-4
shinning force 1 and 2
D&D warriors of eternal sun
Sword Of Vermillion
Wonder Boy In monster world

Quite frankly i wouldn't buy a really old console, i would just emulate the games. It's not like the companies still earn money off of it anyway
