Well American Muscle invented drifting, if you've ever driven a muscle car back in the day, those things can cut loose easily with all the horsepower going to the wheels, so drivers improvised and started to "slide" corners.

Now Japan "perfected" it and claims its some sort of ritualistic japanese racing thing, but if their handling is so great, why dont they just maintain traction while racing...........

the chrysler 300 is pritty much what first crysler muscle car was in the 50's and 60's and if was not for the charger in 1966 then there will be no challenger in the 70's to beat the Z28 Camaro and BOSS 302 mustangs in the trans am receing seies

you know what, i really don't mind the weight. I just want this car because it looks badass, sounds badass, probably good torque, and something for me to cruise around and be comfortable. I'd put some minor mods in it like a louder exhaust, some rims and thats probably it. I already have a 92 Nissan Skyline GTR thats got about 450 HP and this is what i use for the track. But its so uncomfortable, its not an ideal car to take my girl out on a date :p

the base model IS in the 20s, and so is the basic performance model... the srt is not the performance model, its the top of the line premium model and never was meant to be the mass sold vehicle.

the srt8 is the heaviest of the 3 models, and once the dealers get em youll be lucky to find one under 50000. Dont believe the hype its gonna be a slug ,the ones you see in the magazines are most likely factory "tuner" cars, you wont get the same performance from one off the showroom, iys just too heavy to get out of its own way.

Ive waited 20 years for one of these, Love the Car but its gonna get smoked by the lighter weight Mustang and Camaro...the Challenger weighs 4100lbs with a small block, kinda hard to call it a performance machine when it weighs almost as much as a truck. Id love to have one but youll just have to put a supercharger on it to make it an equal to its adversary's in horsepower to weight ratio.
