  • Shoot a buck.

  • @coryhclg The reason we are shooting does, "crop depervation" in other words to many does. Does have to be shot, or their wont be any good bucks to shoot during regular season. Not to say we cant shoot bucks, only small 7s. Anytime i get to settle my crosshairs on brown, horns or not its taking a dirt nap. They eat the same.

  • The bullets start expanding once they hit the first solid mass, be it muscle or bone. Lungs etc by comparison are much less dense and won't make a bullet expand. The bullet has expanded once it reaches the internal cavity of the animal, and expands further upon exiting (going through muscle/bone again).

  • What kind of bullets are yall using?

  • @mac6706 Berger VLD's, The bullet hit high shoulder bone on the exit, and she was quartered slighty away. I went higher than i wanted to go, but she dident go nowhere, so i will take it.

  • @mac6706 The bullet penetrates 2 to 3 inches before they start expanding, leaving a gaping exit wound. They do what berger says they will do for sure. From whitetail muledeer to elk and moose, i would say they get the job done.
