  • the kkk actually took inspiration from these outfits to form the basis of their own uniform. apparently during the inquisition these outfits were worn by judges who would decide punishments for non believers...so a bit scary all around! haha

  • @indiarose92 one clarification. These outfits were not worn by the judges, but as a punishment to those found guilty of petty crimes (like profanity or something like that). People convictet to wear them would have to go around in these outfits, so everybody knew the shame they had bought to their family.

  • @malonemalo Very interesting! Either way they look pretty menacing.

  • When i first saw the spanish hoods 20 years ago i was freaked out then, later i discovered that it wasnt anything to do with the KKK, but its normal for people to make that connection, i mean they are wearing the same style hoods and gowns, it all looks pretty intimidating when you see it up close, cant say i'm a fan myself, blokes hiding under hoods !!

  • Get over it guys, take a transcultural jump, Spain is diff! xm

  • Wholly molly dey "Clan" be in Spain too?

    J/K

  • Um no. It's completely different. ...oops I didn't see that you put j/k down there sorry. Most people from the US seriously think that the holy week parade in Spain is the KKK...disappointing lol.
