Fans take it from this horror film historian who knew Vincent Price, THE BAT is FUn great fun and an old chiller like thrse use to make em. moorehead and price do well. fine cast great music old haunted house theme works great here. ah for more old horror goldies like these. i know a good horror film when i see it. out on dvdm i play it 4 times a week. never tired of it. always something new to learn. great great fun for 65 minutes. i see some of you agree. Thats GREAT. TOMK

@casacopeland Hey I did watch it over and over again . . . I was 6 and it was on every day for a week back in the 60's . . . I loved it. It's campy now . . . but I love camp! Price and Moorehead great.

Vincent Price was a quite a guy. So talented, very underrated actor. His voice alone was awesome. He was an accomplished chef and art collector. I thought a very good actor. NO one can recite poetry like him. The Bat is kind of campy, but I LOVE and have it. And, big star Agnes Moorehead aboard too. Delicious!

Nice spooky mystery for a dark and stormy night,and since it's in the public domain it can often be found for a buck or so. Agnes Moorehead,pre-"Endora",does a good job,as do Vincent Price and former "Our Gang" member Darla Hood,grown-up and looking charming as ever...

I have this movie. It was probably considered a grade-B movie, but I like it alot. It is somewhat campy I guess, but still enjoyable. Thanks for posting.

Well this film is in public domain,so I don't see why it wouldn't be well known. Also Agnes Moorehead is really the star of this one.
