For example, McKenna talks of the "conservation of novelty," and he seems to be one of the most skeptical critics of mainstream cultures around. Maybe neoshamanism has room for everyone to participate in it in the transitionary acts and scenes of flights of imagination. Exclusion seems like just another heavy game according to the rules of fossil warfare.

I've found religion actually to be detrimental to spiritual enlightenment with all of it's preconceived notions of God and it's "worship me or burn in hell" attitude.

I find it interesting that Terence describes this "beckoning" as coming (in a way) from our future. It is my understanding that the literal translation of the Hebrew of Exodus chapter 3 has Moses' Lord calling Himself "I will be, that I will be", rather than the more common "I Am" (though it carries this sense as well.)
