@pepcatproductions But what about if you have a snare and a kick that overlap slightly? I'm currently having this problem, as a result of locking the kick to the first beat on the bar, the snare is out as a result.

Please tell me, what are you doing at 2.00? When the drum tracks are split from being merged. Is that to select only original audio regions, not one's that have been 'copy and pasted'.

@HamburgerTrain11 just flattening the take folders. many takes have been recorded and the most appropriate ones have been selected. then you select "flatten take folder" in the menu that pops up from the arrow in the top right corner of the region. its that what you mean?

I'm getting the same thing, flex is messing with the high end and the attack. I've also noticed that in places, it puts a transient right in the middle of a snare drum hit. In other places, it will put a transient quite ahead or behind the hit as well. I've even tried Advanced Quantization settings. My mate thinks the sound it could be RAM.

hi! actually i haven't noticed the high end or the attack getting worse when using flex time. everything sounded ok to me, at least when using slicing mode (which makes sense since no time adjustment is applied, hence leaving the sound unchanged). to be honest i can't imagine there would be any other problem than the attack being cut into, but even this has been handled perfectly by flex time when i used it. but i'll definitely do a comparison and get back to you...all the best,

Do you have any recommendations on how how to combat against the way flex time messes with the sound of your drums. When I'm using slicing mode, my drums lose a good amount of high end and their attack suffers. Have you encountered this problem? Great video by the way.

@Derpasherpala Do you think some kind of exciter plug-in could help re-introduce the high-end? This may work quite subtly if only a little high-end is lost. How bad is the high-end attenuation though? I understand the problem, although I haven't yet used flex time so I don't know the magnitude...
