  • cool man...did you also hot glued it to your chest?! :))

  • This is all very good, But now build a real one. :)

  • how do you make that arc reactor from the mark1

  • Well in theory you can say the arc reactor is a fission reactor, being able to produce massive amounts of energy. However this process requires a whole building, like in the movie iron man. However if you can miniaturize this, it will be phenomenon! Basically the iron man suit will become a reality, not only will it become reality, it'll be just a scratch on what is possible if this was real.

  • cool man, some Irish guy had a similar design but never explained the plastic ring part

  • @BLUEC0RE has enyone ever taught about the possibility for a real arc reactor.

palladium is a real element, and it can compress alot of air in a very small space.

the only thing that is needed is to ionize a gas like argon and mix the right amounts of palladium with air, then calculate the energy of the ionized air absorption times the quanity of palladium to find out how much power it can deliver in a certain amount of time. more power less time faster absorption rate.

  • superb!!!

  • Hey everyone, thanks for all the views and comments. You guys rock! I'm trying to put together another version soon, as the new Iron Man sequel has come out. Also going to replace the music with some voiceovers on both my Arc Reactor videos to give people a better idea how to make them.

In the meantime, go to Lifehacker's website and search for "DIY ring light", the macro article has some parts listed that would be great for a Arc Reactor project.

  • @Zung hey man i'm getting all my materials together and i'll probably need both the leg caps and umbrella ring cannot find them anywhere retail, where did you get them from? i seriously just need those and i can get started. ido you have any leftovers? i am willing to pay you if you'd send me one of each. i am building it! just frustrated because the materials i need are the hardest to come by..=[ reply soon please!

  • Amazing work :)

  • that was ugly

  • where did you get copper wire and conduit locknut

  • Lol

    "I can't help it... it's so beautiful."

    Amazing Arc Reactor!

  • Very impressive.

Even a talented sketch artist like me couldn't put something like that together.

How long did it take you to build it?

  • To all the comments and messages I got regarding purchasing a handmade Arc Reactor, I'm very flattered and I would have loved to do that for people but I just don't have the time to manufacture these on a regular basis. As much as I like piles of money I didn't start this project with that in mind. I'm hoping that the next video I make will enable people to make one themselves.

  • Hey everyone, thanks for all the views and comments. I know alot of you asked for more information and exactly what parts I used, but truth be told I never kept very accurate documentation. I just made it up as I went along. So I AM planning on making a new one soon. I have plans drawn up on how to improve it and I will keep detailed parts list and be more specific so it'll be easy for anyone to make one.

  • they're some big assed titties you got there, nice job though

  • I'm not making one this year but was just looking around, man this is awesome dude nice work!

  • the table ring and chair foot pads can be found on the lowes site. the ring is item #39767 and the pads are item #95042

  • I found them on the LOWE's website.

  • No shit. If it were this easy,I would fly my Iron Man suit to school every morning.

    Asshole.

  • Comment removed

  • id do that too, but i got an electric guitar instead.

  • where did u get it

  • Thanks for all the great comments! To all those who've been asking where I've gotten the parts, I've given details in my other comments in this thread.

I hope to have a third and final version made soon and will post as a video response to this video!

  • lmao i almost fell off the chair at the last part

  • "man boobs not included"

    lmao!!!

    nice one

    great job!!!!

  • Where did you get your parts?

  • Technically speaking, the Mk I was the big one in Stark Industries that was used "to shut the hippies up". The one Tony made "in a cave...with a box of scraps" was technically the Mk II, and the one that replaced it would be the Mk III.

  • in the beginning and end, what's with the wires?

  • They're not wires thier strings and thats wat i thought they were till the camera zoomed out

  • the cool thing about this one is that it is made of real things that are put together there is no polymorph needed its just parts.

  • out of all the ones on utube this is the most reall looking one

  • you are a genius this is what got me started making props.

  • This doesn't look like you built it an a cave, out of scraps.

  • what is a Conduit locnut and what is it for??

  • Great How-to! Though you need to give us more time to read the captions. I blinked once and missed quite a few! lol Oh well. next time I'll try not to blink...if you promise next time you'll give use some time! lol

    Once again...great job!

  • hot glue and duct tape. mans best friend.

  • i have a hardtime finding the plastic ring that covers the gap somebody help me please

  • omg u r tony stark!

  • Dude this is awesome ! You did a really good job, i like seeing other people's different projects. IRONMAN is my fav movie and I can't wait till Sept. 30th !! -Jace

  • im 80% dont with the arc reactor im trying to make to wear it to the store when i buy the movie

  • That's cool. I have been looking on eBay for an adult Ironman costume for a Halloween party, but there are not any good ones yet. I will probly go as the black spiderman.

  • My brother bought me the movie yesterday and I;ve watch it another 5 times =D

  • i got a ledsticky light AND A CONDUIT LOCKNUT WHERE DI I GET THE REST TELL ME PLEASE

  • Like I said in my earlier comments, I got it all from a big box hardware store. To be more specific, it was Lowes.

  • Table Umbrella Hole Ring got it from lowes do it matter what size i got led sticky light conduit locknut chair leg caps what else am i missing

  • i have a rumber ring frome lows i think i have the wrong one

  • dont mean to be annoying the plastic ring that goes around the outside umbrella what size is it reply asap

  • Honestly I don't recall the sizes for either the lock conduit or the plastic ring. I bought a couple sizes and returned the ones that were too big or too small. You're going to have to eyeball it based on the LED that you're using.

  • tell me where you got all the marerials form please

  • Where did you buy the LED sticky light? Thanks!

  • Lowes. But most LED sticky lights are all about the same size, I've found better ones recently with more lights on it.

  • Thanks!

  • u cant buy one from a hardware store or carstore

  • Sorry for the delay, but I finally uploaded my MARK II video. Some small improvements over my MARK I (Brighter, Thinner, Easier to turn on/off). Thanks to everyone who's commented and subscribed!

  • you cant put it on your chest then its to big

  • make more videos please!!!!!

  • closest one to the original ive seen

  • nice man boobs not included ahahaha

  • O_O Shoulda had this like...a freakin' week ago! Would have been awesome (with adjustments) for my robotic arm...

  • I'm trying to find the parts you listed but I can't seem to find the table ring and the chair leg caps. Can you tell me the brand name of those products. It's a little blurry on the video

  • Thanks for this video. It gives me the Idea to make one for my next movie

  • lmao! like the ending

  • nice! that looks like the real thing

  • please tell me how to make this!i am making an avengers movie,so i need to know!

  • ...Are you serious?

He showed you the entire process to make one!

With a list of the parts needed and the way to assemble them...

  • Fuck I Make it thanks for it you are the biggest jaja ok thanks friend ?? ok

  • Better yet, fill it up with argon and electrically charge it- that way its more accurate. Like a neon lamp.

  • awesome! too bad i havent a clue where to get this stuff lol!

  • You Get it From Lowe'S

  • Hey, check out that kid "HalfroBoy"'s video on using glow sticks for the effect. Clever way to make it on the quick and cheap

  • I had thought about doing this for Halloween and saw that exact same led light thing at Menards and thought it would be good for the project. Too bad I'm lazy.

  • I too am lazy. I just had a burst of determination and did it. I'm thinking of showing how to make a quick and cheap version for the under the shirt effect.

  • seriously this is Lete Bananas!

Im gonna work on another one as well once i finish this, Great post bro!

  • Instead of a second video with close ups of all the parts used, I decided to try the new annotations. Some of them go by pretty quick, so you'll have to pause to read a few I'm sure. Let me know if the annotation are helpful. I'm happy to answer any further questions in this comment thread.

  • nice

  • Arc reactor FTW!!

  • thanks

  • can we get a list of stuff used for this I keep watching the video but I cant figure it out. Thanks in advance.

  • Sure thing. When I get some time I'll toss up another video with some more details. I found all my parts just wandering around a big box hardware store. Also already working on improving the design so stay tuned...

  • wonderfull job. you even got the right number of sectors!!!
