  • how do u get that fast? its crazy , i can only dream of being that quick with my kicks

  • @Bluerocka145 practice.. i'm guessing you're looking for a shortcut :)

  • i'm open for those who disagree with what i just said down there... please be open minded... again, i'm not against taekwondo... in fact, i am enthusiastic to learn martial arts... just wanted to share my opinion... for me, even if you are a master, you must still know how to get off troubles... better to avoid than to repel... ask me questions if you have problems with my opinion... peace out yo peepz! -_+

  • Well... Taekwondo (WTF) is just a sport, like football or any other regular sport... we just spar to win medals and such things.. we dont want to fight in the streets

  • Oh I see... You're one of a kind fella.. Unlike those other peepz, boasting their style of fighting and bringing it on the streets... Well, I like that opinion of yours... Hopefully, peepz who play this "sport" think the same as you do... Thanks for sharing opinion... Cheers! -_+

  • think of it as boxing, but with only your legs. Almost the same

  • can someone explain the taekwondoe rules to me i do mma and muay thai and i think you can do any strike above the waist correct me if im wrong

  • there arm wouldnt break just be in imense pain :}

  • jus watched team GB against Afghanistan....is this meant to be serious??? the guy was falling all over the place and telegraphing everythin he was gonna do about 6 hours before he did it!!! i seriously hope for the sake of the sport there are better ppl out there than him cause it was embarrassing to watch considering it was sposed to be a display of martial arts!

  • i think it's entertaining, fast paced. And build great cordination, timing, rhythm, reaction, agility, and stamina. Just as long as you can determine practical applications from sport you can defend yourself with these skills proficiently.

  • fair enough. it definately takes skill to do what they do. but its just not my cup of tea. after seeing what some of these ppl do, i think they got so much more potential

  • IF THEY BLOCKED THERE ARMS WOULD BREAK

  • woooo

    que pelea mas emocionante

  • This is international TaeKwonDo I like Songham TaeKwonDo better

  • this is not international its world taekwondo federation or wtf for short ur really stupid olypic is only wtf

  • Whatever dude.!

  • becauce is stupid

  • Soo cool....I dunno why it was flagged? Oo

  • okay, some1 explain to me y this vid is flagged.

  • so poor they sparring noob!!!!! Come sparring wif me la see hu win

  • err...have YOU been to the olympics lately?

  • these guys would absolutely fuck you up

  • who flagged this video?

  • terror tolyo !!!

  • i can hear ad/dc in there

  • I'am a black belt 7° Dan..i'am international referee..

  • liar.

  • You are say me that why i'am best what you man ^^

  • minimum age limit on 7th dan, and it's not 21.

  • yeah, you can double up.... which is what everyone is doing in this clip. if you aren't using multiple kicks you're probably losing.

  • ahahs..yeah man..double kicks

u can do em man they're good to score with

these guys go nuts just to get a spot in the olympics ahahs..love them

  • Can you double up kicks when sparring/competing? or is this um...not allowed?

Any taekwondo experts out there get back to me please and thanks.

  • yes, actually a double roundhouse kick is one of the kicks that the olympic fighters use the most because it's very effective on gaining a lot of points, it is also a very fast technique since the opponent will see one kick coming and won't see the other one coming on the other side.

  • yeah well in ITF if we see that coming it's a front kick to the stomach and cracked ribs. That's why ITF beats WTF 9/10 ;)

  • ehm.. what? ... I'm sorry.. but it seems like WTF fighters are a bit more sophisticated than ITF fighters... We don't fight to hurt each other... fortunately we use protection to avoid injuries.

  • To everyone who thinks Taekwondo looks ineffective: This is the sport version. I am learning traditional taekwondo from a Korean who has a sixth degree black belt. Many of our kicks are to the side or chest. We also learn punches, grapples, and elbow and knee strikes. I can say from experiance that Taekwondo is an effective fighting style.

  • true i do taekwondo my self black belt 3 dan

  • i totally agree...

our grandmaster yoon sin kil (^^ yeah thats his name ;)) has a ninth dan black belt and no one could harm him^^

i think he knows about 100 tecniques do defend for every weapon, hits or kicks from every position

  • of course xD ^^

naw not really but he's really good...

i would think about it twice before i mess with him

  • everyone will think about it twice before messing up with a taekwondo master, obviusly, not if you have a gun.

  • sure... but even if i had a gun and wasnst standing at least 5 feet away i would think twice^^

  • have u got the guts to shoot someone?

    fucken faggot

  • it's a reality... for instance, if you are a taekwondo master, can u stop a sniper from shooting you? yes, it is a self defense, but it's not a guaranteed 100% protection against all these stuffs that could kill you... what if this master happen to meet a mad sumo guy, hmmmmm, since he is a master, i might agree that he could beat the big fella, but practically, winning probability is still on the sumo guy... i'm not an anti taekwondo or something... this is just a reality check... peace out yo!

  • @iShadeSx7 No matter what you learn nothing will teach you to avoid a sniper. Nothing is 100 percent guaranteed protection

  • @Stendido13 Yeah, you're right dude... hehe.... cool.... ^^

  • i hope i reach the Olympics. States is coming up soon then nationals lets hope i win lol. These guys are good.

  • how can i download this and save it

  • i have been doing wtf for about three years but about half a year ago i have swithed to itf i just got bored of mind and spiritual bollocks they were telling us

  • MMA teach you how to do some Brawling stand up and some basic submissions wich are almost useless nowdays...tell me, how much people was dead in UFC/PRIDE fights? i am not talking about rules, but quality of the hits...ok, go on an watch your K-1/Pride/UFC eating your Popcorns/MCdonalds...that's just an show, and what you see there is no more than Cameras with good quality!

  • In competion fighters drop their hands to draw the opponent into going for a point. risky as if your opponent i better your gonna get hit.

  • hmm,i took what u said into consideration... and atleast in MY area... i didnt find many schools who really taught 'traditional' Taekwando (and there are ALOT of schools)

most SAID they did but they recommend head kicks or ineffective techniques, which are not really practical unless ur accuracy is 100% and u walk around in loose sweats every day of the week. lol

  • I and I think most of the people with a decent belt are at least 98% accurate with head kicks. And I can do most of the head kicks in my jeans.

The jeans usually cause me to over heat faster when practising in them. But i can still do most of the moves.

  • Metalslug there's a dif between the sport tkd and traditional way.Sport is Olmpic type.Traditional they teach u like street situtions lol if I make sense

  • yeah its ok for 'olympics' because they turned it into a 'sport'

id would like to see them on the street or against an K-1 or UFC mma fighter. hmm wonder what would happen. I practice Kyokushin and we destroy Taekwondo guys. Why do u ppl drop ur hands i just don't get it.

  • they drop their hands cause its the rules. I took taekwondo for 8 years, email me if you have any questions. (thats just the sport, the real martial art is totally different)

  • There´s a lot of kinds of tkd: WTF (not what the fuck :P, it´s world tkd federation), ITF and Traditional, in the last one you can use every part of your body, including knees and elbows, (there´re even attacks with your fingers to the eyes of the opponent xD) but if you´re practising the sport one (the most common) you are not training to defeat someone in the street but in the gym, so you´re not prepared to kick with jeans and so

  • on, there´s a lot of differences and it depends on how the master focus it: Sport, martial art (i mean more than in the sport one) or self defense 4 streets.

And I don´t think it´s because of the rules because in my gym they tell me to keep always the guard, it´s just because in the sport one there´re no punches to the face (no gloves) and this way your centre of gravity is lower and you can use your arms to move your body faster.

  • Traditional Striking arts(wich include grapplings either of course) are able to kill an MMA/UFC/PRIDE sportist in seconds....

  • BS... you have no idea what you're saying. You have no proof of this. The reason you don't see Taekwondo practitioners in the UFC is because they wouldn't last two seconds. I studied TKD for 4 years when I was a kid and had a 2nd degree. Wake up.

  • You again - see my other posts you fucking tosser! Mark Weir is undeafeated in UK and European cage fighting and he is from a TKD background and uses TKD style kicks in the cage! Check it out yourself! Prove you BS (yourself, here on Youtube) or shut the fuck up!

  • I don't know where you get your info from. Mark Weir is 17 and 12 in MMA. He may have studied TKD but his stand up is mostly KICKBOXING! The few kicks I did see him throw were shit. No power at all. Maybe that's the TKD coming out. It wouldn't matter what video I showed you to prove my point. You still wouldn't believe. Why don't YOU put some videos up.

  • Also I still dont see you proving anything on youtube!

Where's the video footage of your fights? You're MEAN'T TO BE A KICKBOXER! Lets see how good you are!

  • you are gay!

  • I don't know where you get your info from. Mark Weir is 17 and 12 in MMA. He may have studied TKD but his stand up is mostly KICKBOXING! The few kicks I did see him throw were shit. • lol TKDDAD, my master taught the korean army, Master Tae uen Lee i think it was spelt lol. I wanna try out for some full contact sparring team i thought i might be ok. I love it when the crowd cheers, it pumps me up

  • Amen... I just love it. Besides you can't really hear it when you are sparring. All you hear is yourself and your coach, for me atleast. It's so fun. Don't just try to get on a team, do it ... no excuses.

  • of course you are! haha, this is qualification for olympics for team USA!

  • omg really olympic qualifiers? then i should be the worldmaster in taekwondo .. really im apsolutly better than these guys

  • OMG, fer sur, like gawd, could you be any more wrong Zhenja? I have competed in the World Championships for TKD. What you saw is just an extremely small part of it. Broken bones and all, you could never ever stand up to these guys.

  • Umm, even from just the small part of it you see in the video, those guys look pretty damn fast and good to me. How do you figure you're better, Zhenja?

  • there was a lot of grabing going on there...

but still very good to watch

  • fucking retards it tells you.

    ATHENS!

  • heh it was in paris france. Olympic qualifiers i believe.

  • when was that? i was at the one in northern california... this doesnt seem like it was that one

  • No shit ... read ... its the olympic qualifiers

  • is the crowd always that annoying?

  • pretty much yeah!

  • lo mejor k e visto en taewondo en ese peso.

  • i wish i could download these vid to play em in slow motion :(

  • Yeah the reds were getting good at a point. But then the blue's were like all in the head lol

  • Are these qualifications for a certain country? I don't understand

  • nice kicks but not as professional as use to be in olympic.

    Did anyone got to it?

  • wow the red guys is good.. he continues to beat the blue player down with counter

  • woah the kicks are nice..

  • It wouldn't ever be in Olympics if not for WTF.

  • RHEE Is Crap Compared To WTF

  • what is the name of this music ?????????????????? plz i need to know

  • That's AC/DC, "Shook Me All Night Long"

  • its a remix, got bon jovi, metalica, def leppard n guns n roses in too!

  • well...i think he have part of reason, and im a taekwondo user but...in competition, people just use kicks.

But...if we use punches, we are doing some kind of kick boxing.

  • R0bl can drown in his ignorance and die. I'll bury him in cow manure and piss on his grave.

  • Opps! You have revealled your insecurities to us all. My comments must have been pretty close to the mark to get you all riled up like that... R-)

  • iono you might have. four months later lol. BUT you're still stupid. :D Reading your comment with an indifferent mind-state, I decided... yeah you're still an idiot :D

  • I agree. And for those ITF fighters out there, answer this... why is wtf used in the olympics and not itf?

  • haha who is in this vidoe???

  • ITF STILL bETTER!

  • RHEE is even better yet shit on ITF and WTF

  • nice

  • im the one who actually has this footage on the miniDV tapes, someone I know from NS,Canada edited it together cause their master was the one with the camera itself in Paris.

  • That sparring just looks so limited and superficial. I can't believe the WTF doesn't allow any punches to the head! It is so lame they don't even bother trying to block. i don't mind them doing what they are doing, it is really wrong to call it Taekwondo. It should be called the World Kick Sport Federation. R-)

  • No one would have any chance if they just got punched in the head, anyone could win then. And people dont bother blocking cuz it wont allow them to counter and get more points.

  • i think they gonna allow some punches.

although yu can use punches to stun the opponent but not in face.

  • noway man it sucks getting punched in the head .. my friend got hit with an elbow in the head and it blew his game i think its better like this.. u can punch as much as u want on his torso lol punch him tell u knock him out no1 cares :P

  • Anybody can punch, its easy to learn. But it takes skill to kick. Besides alot ITF fighters get easy simple no skill points just tapping someone in the head. There is no real competition.

  • punches don't have the same reach that kicks do anyway, and since you can't grab, you really leave yourself open if you try to punch for the face. Also, You gotta keep in mind these guys are kicking extremely hard, It's probably more dangerous to block since you're seriously risking getting a broken bone.

  • I take your point about head punches & competitiveness, but that just reinforces that WTF is nothing more than a kicking sport and shouldn't be called Taekwon-Do. Real TKD is a martial art for self defense. WTF misrepresents TKD. R-)

  • howd u kno he was there? and sound is no good :(

  • Great video! Nice editing.
