Pearland had grabbed the lead in the first half and held it for the rest of the game being down 7-0. That's a legit win. And I'm a neutral party who was at the game just to watch it...

i was at this game..............i was so disappointed that the oilers made this play..................pearland is a very good team. They were a very tough team to play, but they don't deserve that state championship. Even though this was a legal trick play, its still probably the cheapest play i have ever seen in football.

Even if Pearland repeats I wouldn't want you to miss plays because the band was blowning its brains out. Allen has over 5000 kids in there high school. First off, the refs blew the whistle to start the play. The clock went down! This is your first misleading piece of "evidence".
Secondly, Pearland does NOT recruit players. If they did, they would have been disqualified.
Thirdly, Pearland's Band did NOT play one "note at full force". That was in fact a series of cords that create the climax of their 2010 marching show. There is nothing in the UIL rules that says that the band cannot be "distracting".

Anyway go back and listen to the tape and you can clearly hear the band playing one note full force then move up to another note. Trinity have 2 false starts because the players could not here the signals from the QB. The Allen band does this to. Its just inside an inclosed stadium the sound does not scatter.Pearland won thats it

Anyway trying to get a UIL rule change were a band cannot do this in an enclosed staduim. My nephew is in the FFA at Pearland. One evening in football season his Ag teacher told him to move the 8 cows from one pen to the next. As the PHS coaches were leaving they saw my nephew pick up each cow and set it down on the other side of the 4 foot fence separating the two pens. First off, the refs blew the whistle to start the play. The clock went down! This is your first misleading piece of "evidence".
Secondly, Pearland does NOT recruit players. If they did, they would have been disqualified.
Thirdly, Pearland's Band did NOT play one "note at full force". That was in fact a series of cords that create the climax of their 2010 marching show. There is nothing in the UIL rules that says that the band cannot be "distracting".

@Movie1199Watcher Sorry i am good friends with one of the stats personel in the presbox. He did not here the whistle but on the tape from FOX SW it was clearly blown. Anyway go back and listen to the tape and you can clearly hear the band playing one note full force then move up to another note. Trinity have 2 false starts because the players could not here the signals from the QB. The Allen band does this to. Its just inside an inclosed stadium the sound does not scatter.Pearland won thats it

@Movie1199Watcher yes you are right about the UIL rules, but in an enclosed stadium the sound does not scatter. There is a rule against this in NCAA football. Anyway trying to get a UIL rule change were a band cannot do this in an enclosed staduim. It wont change the outcome of this game, but it should NOT happen to any football team trying to hear the play count from the QB. Pearland won that wont change. I dont think the Pearland team would be happy it theTrinity band had done this.

They will NOT repeat next season. Also we are heraing from other coaches in Pearlands district they RECRUIT which is highly against Texas UIL rules. That is going to be followed up on. Also your week as band playing as loud as they could while Trinity had the ball is VERY UNSPORTMAN LIKE. I guess the idiot band director didn't know there is a rule in Cowboys staduim against unauthorized noise makers. Playing a musical instrument full force, one note falls in that classification.

My nephew is in the FFA at Pearland. One evening in football season his Ag teacher told him to move the 8 cows from one pen to the next. As the PHS coaches were leaving they saw my nephew pick up each cow and set it down on the other side of the 4 foot fence separating the two pens. The coaches came by and asked him if he'd like to play football. He politely said no, and kept working. THAT is ALL the recruiting they ever did. Trinity got beat by some big 'ole farm boys. That's it.

Trinity is a GREAT Football Team but on any given Friday/Saturday a Great team can loose. My team The La Marque Cougars 5 time state Champs got our butts whooped and that was just it. Oh, and at the beginning of the game, the first touchdown was made by #7 from Trinity and he jumped over Myles Kanipes. They replayed that footage SOO many times and Trinity's side laughed THE WHOLE TIME. So stop getting upset and saying this play is cheap. At least we didn't laugh at Trinity when this was played.

I think that if we played Trinity again, there is a good chance we wouldn't win. But I know for a fact we try WAY harder than Trinity. Just because they had 3 championships doesn't mean they have to win. We have 1 and that's all that matters. We worked hard for it and we DON'T talk shit. i was at this game as an impartial fan on the Trinity side. i watched the play go down, and i found the play more a mistake on Trinity's than a spectacular play on Pearland's. i cant believe that they didnt move when the ball was snapped, it wasnt like the "wrong ball" trick or anything. i cant believe none of the secondary tried to help either. when the ball's snapped, u play. no disrespect to Pearland tho. very well called play. Trinity was outmatched in every aspect that night

This is such a cheap and unsportsmanlike play...theres a rule in football that says you can't deceive the opposing team into thinking that a snap is not imminent. And that's exactly what they did. I mean seriously you can't just stand around and act confused and pretend you don't know what the fucks going on...then all of a sudden you throw a bomb...that's just cheap...
