My limewire is screwed... it always show up as "connecting" and when it rarely connects, no matter which song I download (even from different hosts) it shows the host as busy or "searching for more hosts"

i have every weak or two lime wire problem.. and whan that happens my laptop gets VERY slower... My Computer is opening like 4mins.. and i can fix this problem with restarting my laptop untill the LimeWire error report comes.. so is there any other way 2 fix this? plz tell me..

Dont delete norton just for limewire, there is another way..

Using limewire without an antivirus protection can give you viruses.

If this does not work just forget limewire delete all your limewire files go to computer>Program Files> LimeWire delete the folder then download frostwire it is the exact same thing just a different color and it is alot better it will work

Hey, I have a question. Whenever i try to searsc a song it only gives me like 1 file per song when it used to get me like atleast 20-60. Do you know what the problem might be?

Then set a higher amount of downloads that can be running at the same time.

All you have to do is go to control panel>windows firewall>okay try turning you firewall off(it is okay) nothing will happen turst me.After we get finished with this and it doesnt work turn it back on but plz just follow the steps>exceptions tab> then click on add program>a box should appear(just scroll down intill you find limewire)click on it and click add at the bottom.>and click apply

how come my limwire says on every song that it needs more sources?

does it actually happen to every song or just a few??? Sources are like people in which you can dowload the music files. The more sources there are the faster the download. If there are no sources then you cant get the music file. On your limewire try to get the music file that has a number to the left of the song. That should help.......inless the not enough sources keeps coming up for every song. Plz reply

I have a HUGE limewire problem. It worked awesome, but one day when i opened it the letters were extremely tiny. too tiny to even tell what letter it is. ive uninstalled it and then re-installed it, but its exactly the same as it was before. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

okay...first so you can see a little bit

Click on start>Then click on ALLPROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>ACCESA­BILITY>then click on (Magnifier).Once you have that open you should see the magnification at the top of the screen.(NEXT)Open up limewire. Plz read the next reply!!!!

I had Avast! Antivirus once then it got unistalled. Then 3 months later (something like that) my Limewire connection didn't work, then I saw this and down Avast! Antivirus again and it worked. But then today I open Limewire and I'm back where I came from. Please help me anyone!

I've downloaded avast and I have installed the program. I've already pressed the ESC button and gone passed the blue screen. Now the program is going through "Resident Protection." Should I just let it do it's thing until it is done. And after that my Limewire PRO should get a connection? Correct?

correct!!!! tell me if it worked!!! Yes just let it do its thing..... make sure you exit out of limewire at the bottom right corner then start the connection for limewire agian. And it should work.

hay look im not mad or nothin but i really need to know how to get rid of that avast thing now because it slowed down my computer a lot and now its takin about an hour to load a few pages so can you reply specifically on the steps i need to do to delete avast. by the way i know why it didnt work but i really need to get rid of it.

go to control panel>add or remove programs>let it load>scroll down to avast and click on remove> it should remove it/uninstal it completely

try the one about the firewall first......then if it doesnt work try the UPnP one. But first try the firewall one.

STORY!! i used to have Norton but my subscribsion ended=(. So i deleated it and download AVG.....yes AVG is good but it does not i repeat DOES NOT allow p2p(per2per). Which allows limewire to work and allow files to be shared. So I then decided it could be the antivirus program. So i changed it and downloaded Avast. And to my surprise it worked. And just wanted to help neone who was going through the same problem i was.
