looks like a good burr design at first, but i noticed how much the burr moved with just a bit of presure from that brush you used! in a good grinder the burr should never move like that. you should be able to tug on it and not be able to move it.
Iv'e had my grinder for 2.5 years used every day with no problems.
i think you will find the Burrs are made form hardened carbon steel and not mild steel as stated in Vid. Mild steel would wear out in less than a week.
I had same trouble, contact sunbeam they will send out some washers to put in or tell you to take out some washers and e-mail a pfd file to explain how to recalibrate the grinder

Put a vacuum cleaner on the spout, and turn it on. Your grinder is cleaned in about 3 seconds.

these things are useless iam on my second, and the burrs have not been set correctly, finest grind comes out coarse. chinese made shit
