Played Final Fantasy before Chrono Trigger. Only reason why I played CT now was because I wanted to check it out and realized how good of a story it was. Oh how I left it out of my childhood :(

@Stormtronic Actually that was the whole point to take Crono doll with them Chrono trigger stopped time in the exact frame where Crono body was being annihilated they switched real Crono with the doll and time resumed.

AKA what they saw was chrono doll being destroyed.

The Chrono Trigger triggered a time gate, allowing Crono to be saved. The Chrono Cross crossed timelines, allowing Lavos to be defeated. The Chrono Break broke, and therefore they couldn't make a game about it.

@dreborn53 Technically there is. It's called Radical Dreamers but that was only released in Japan and was meant to be a segway between Chrono Trigger and Cross. But they never released it in the U.S. and instead pulled stuff from it to use in Chrono Cross, basically making it obsolete. Also, they were going to make another sequel called Chrono Break. They had the name reserved, but ultimately never made it.

@coreykun667 Well, the Saturn did have a better 2D processor than the PSX, so it'd probably look better on the Saturn, however I'll stick to the SNES version. The FMVs are great, but the load times are awful! SNES has no load times.

There's additional content, like that Battle-Arena thing using, for the first time ever, the "Battle 2" theme officially, there's an additional dungeon, a whole new ending that, far as I heard, connects Chrono Trigger and Cross far better, and you can also opt to have the SNES-cutscenes in place of the PSX-FMVs, far as I know.

So... yeah. Not just a simple port.

Many felt it an unanswered plotline, so two games concerning her story were made: Radical Dreamers and Chrono Cross.

You go to the old man at the end of time. He'll play a bit of a farewell song for crono. When you try to leave he'll say, "Hey". Talk to him again he'll give you the Chrono Trigger. Then you must go to the future, go through the sewer access point to the done right next to the mountain "Death Peak". Talk to the Nu in the very back and it'll tell you to get a Crono clone. You can get one at the millenial fair. Come back to the dome and the Nu will release 3 dolls that'll help... (cont.)
