Reid is an idiot.Oil companies pay over 40% in federal income taxes (which are passed along to consumers) and make about 10% in profits. What did government do to get gasoline to the pump? Did they drill? Refine? Transport? No, they made 4x as much as the companies that DID do all that. Add to that the unbelievable costs associated with the paperwork, regulations and environmental crap the oil companies have to deal with and I think it's clear the federal government is responsible for $4 gas.
