the thing that people have to understand is that NO system is perfect.

Im a canadian and i would not give up my health care for the american one.

there are hospitals all over the world that are understaffed, under funded and under equiped.

one hospital might not be able to treat X because of what staff it does or does not have, but they can treat XX and so on, every system has its flaws and the sad thing is some times people die because of it does not make it a broken system

Sparwood why dont you try to solve the problems in the Canadian system instead of attacking me? You could do something good with your life instead of wasting your time. You have the good fortune of living in British Columbia, a province blessed w hard-working, highly educated immigrants & strong family culture. There is more than one cousin in this video. There is more than one diagnosis. My cousin told me the nearest Cardiologist & Oncologist is in Calgary. She told me its a 2½ hour drive. In video by freemarketcure titled Brain surgery she stated three weeks ago her Cousin was diagnosed in the mid June with liver Cancer. In this video and in Blog by ms placed democrat she states she was diagnoses around July 6th. In the same video I note other holes in her story in comments from 3 weeks ago, I have provided information on how to find her conflicting posts. It is there to see for yourselfs

EVERYONE: Why is SparwoodApple following me all over Youtube? Does he have a problem with women? He has told so many lies about me and he just keeps making up more. My Canadian Cousin was 29 years old when she died of cancer. It didnt have to happen. The signs of her cancer should have been followed up by a specialist immediately when they appeared in 2008. Instead her test results were ignored & she wasnt even told there was an abnormality. She was made to suffer when she became too sick to function. Turning Health Care workers into Gov Employees = unresponsive to patients. Dont let U.S. accept Government controls! Keep your Freedom!

I don't know how many times I can say this: You don't think that health care in the USA isn't already controlled by a vast army of health insurance company bureaucrats from CIGNA, Humana and Anthem??????? These people will fight you kicking and screaming to deny/limit health coverage. Here's a test: call up Humana's office and tell them you're a 60 year old breast cancer survivor and see what rate they quote.

My cousin told me what happened; I'm simply reporting it. Comments here make claims to know but they were not the patient & they were not there. Real life doesnt function like the paper plan. My Cousin told me there was only 1 Cardiologist 2½ hrs away. I did not say Taber. In ER waiting room there were no patients when my cousin returned. She was made to wait. Falsehoods are said about me here; I have simply repeated what my cousin told me. Attacking me is baseless. Im only the messenger.

Yet another discrepancty in your story Wendy. You said she was asked to see an Oncologist 21/2 hours away before and now above you have changed it to a Cardiologist - Which is it? As for the southern half of Alberta - there are several Cardiologist and Oncologist and not 1 Cardiologist and two oncologist as you have alleged. You are never more 1 - 1 2/2hr drive from a Cardiologist in southern Alberta unless you live in Waterton Lake Park

My Cousin told me what happened & I reported it. She told me the so-called Oncologist in Lethbridge was not really an Oncologist but an internist. She told me trying to get a biopsy outside the hospital would cause you to wait up to 3 months. They did make her wait in the ER even though there were no other patients there. Government-run Health Care killed her by neglect & by refusing to give her choice. The FamDoc refused to refer her to an Oncologist 2½ hrs away. No one treated her cancer.

As a lot of leftys try to use free market principles, competition is the key to lowering our health insurance costs.

No one is denied access to health care in the USA...that is true...what is different is that if you show up without health insurance and have an emergency appendectomy with two nights in the hospital, that you can expect a $20,000 or so bill in the mail in the next month. More than have of bankruptcy filings in the USA are a direct result of situations like this.

The "FREE MARKET" has had FIFTY years to get it right...you guys have have been given every chance to succeed and you've made mess

This video here is telling you what happens when a government has total control of your health care. The facts are undeniable. Health care is rationed and distributed the way that they(government) sees fit.

This is not what people want. Maybe a few of you leftys, but certainly not the majority.

There's no doubt that treatment comes at a high cost. If the government wants to help the people, they should combat the high costs, not transforming it.

Um, well being employed in the department that runs the Telehealth line, I call bullshit on your story because this is not how things work. The ONLY person that decides whether you get critical care here is a medical doctor, not the triage nurse, they just take down symptoms. I survived cancer here twice, and have worked withing the system all my life. Trying to embellish stories of this type is downright evil. Shame on you.

She is BSing - maybe a cousin died, but not under the conditions she stated. Wendy states that the hospital told here that there is only ONE Cardiologist in the Province of Alberta - Not true as there are several. She stated that the nearest Oncologist was 2/12 hour drive away from Taber - again not true as there are Oncologists also in Medicine Hat and Lethbridge. She stated biopsy wait times are three months - Not true again as there are many numbers about how long waitlists are, but none ...
