Love Cory Schlesinger. This was the first game i ever remember watching as a kid. BTW does anyone know if corey has any connections to David City NE, they have a large billboard of corey on his second touchdown run that was autographed by him. I know he's from the Columbus area
The guy was a solid example of smashmouth football and had one of the greatest influences on me growing up as a kid. Most kids wanted to be NFL quarterbacks, I wanted to be a Nebraska fullback. Go Big Red!
I remember that game is what turned me into a huge Huskers fan. Warren Sapp was running off at the mouth, even to Nebraskas sideline coaches and players. All of a sudden the Huskers took over and Schlesinger was running right through the middle untouched for TD's. Nebraska had some huge OL's that began to dominate Sapp and his mouthy teammates. What I loved is when Schlesinger scored he just dropped the ball, no hollering and screaming about how great HE was. To me that's what I would want peop
actually hate to burst your bubble but that Nebraska team was very jaded . Names Terell Farley and Lawrence Phillps ring a bell? Just think they say Miami recruits thugs lol
No Canes fans coming to talk shit on this vid recently, I see. I wouldn't talk shit either if I were a fan of a team that couldn't even win the division in the ACC for Christ's sake.
60-3 in five years with 3 national titles out of a small school with a tiny recruiting base without a hint of NCAA violations is amazing but not a miracle. Osborne and his staff made it a long term project. They stuck with their schemes, perfecting them over the years, building enough tradition so they could recruit just the exact athletes they need to execute it. Today's instant gratification generation could lean a lot from the TO years. We Hawks hope to build the same kind of foundation.
As a 'Canes fan I can't deny the fact that the Huskers were the better team that night, they just flat outplayed us. But you gotta have to feel good for Osbourne finally getting his first national title as a head coach after all the near misses. Just wish today's Nebraska and Miami teams were like the teams from those days. Hopefully though with both programs righting the ship, they could be back to elite status in 2-3 years. Mad respect to the Husker fans, best fans in CFB. Go 'Canes!
@DCBMoreFan I will call them the Hurricanes and with respect because you are a classy 'Canes fan.
It must have felt good for the Huksers because Miami had their number for so many years. Every team has an achilles heel and Miami, with their slightly undersized but quick linebackers with great lateral speed, and hard hitting safeties that weren't afraid of run support and even played on the LoS, was a perfect foil for Nebraska's I-Option.
Miami couldn't handle the physical play of Nebraska. They wasted all their energy yapping at the mouth and forgot there's 4 quarters to a football game.
@hostiledefense I don't like Miami, and I was glad they got beat, but they left everything they had on the field. It just wasn't enough because Nebraska was better.
actually it is the university of nebraska look it up. nebraska, like every other program has had criminals play for them. but the three florida schools have had a reputation and history of having criminals play for them. and miami doesnt own nebraska the all time series is 5-5.
eight straight bad years for nebraska. 10-3 in 2003, 8-4 in 2005, 9-5 in 2006, and 9-4 in 2008. didnt know those were considered bad years. if thats the case miami has had more than 3 bad seasons during that period.

I know its University of Nebraska. Not a single soul on the planet refers to Nebraska as UN. Any poser CFB fan would know that. Is OU for Oklahoma University? Is CU Colorad University? Another Idiot. But nice attempt to mask his stupidity with yours.
And who are you trying to fool with your W-L Records? Keep playing C-USA, MWC and MAC schools to pad that W-L record. 9-4 and still not in the Top 25? That's because The AP and the Coaches know that you didn't beat anyone.

Good vs. Evil?
Which kind of evil Are we talking about? L. Phillips Aggravated Assault evil? Christian Peters Evil Aggravated Sexual Assault Evil? Or Riley Washington attempted Murder Evil?
Fuck Nebraska. You all have been Miami's punching bag or almost a quarter century. 31-30, 23-3, 22-0 and 37-14, eat it bitches.
I love the guy in the crowd at 1:22 . "Oh my god!" The ENTIRE state of Nebraska was doing the exact same thing at that moment. I also love Brenden Stai deke-ing Sapp then crushing Ray Lewis. Pipeline, baby.
Classic NU football. Every guy carrying out their blocking assignments like their life depended on it. Muhammed rolls his dude 10 yards downfield to clinch the TD. Beat 'em with our bread and butter.
I played trombone 92-93 and switched to baritone 94-95. Sorry your years weren't as good as mine; there might not have been a better stretch for the marching band than those years.
For UM"dynasty" of course we HUSKER fans watched the Hurricanes beating Nebraska in 2001, 1983, etc.since they displayed and clearly outplayed the Huskers on the pitch in these games. We simply accept that with dignity, did the same thing Miami in 1995?
Maybe it´ll take centuries or maybe never for many Canes fans to learn a little bit of sportmanship, not to mention the academic level of Huskers players compared to most of Miami´s.
I don't recall mentioning any stats, all I said was I enjoyed watching Sapp's loud mouth trudging off the field. I don't know why you Cane fans always post comments on Husker videos, unless you secretly enjoy watching your team get their asses kicked.
