personally i perfere my 50mm chrome xpole, but i think t all depends on the person, if you have small hands you might be better with a 45mm, however i've heard leg holds are more difficult to do with a 45mm, and the tg xpole (gold) is good for grip if you tend to sweat alot, i get sweaty hands but i just prefere my chrome :)

you can try liquid chalk, i wash mine with washing up liquid before a dance and do wipe throughout dancing - it's normal!

i just wipe my hands and pole with a towel i keep for the purpose. and when my pole looks a bit minging i wipe it with alcohol baby wipes, then dry it off with the towel.
