  • if michael biehn says 'so on and so forth' one more fuckin time!! haha

  • @ohfasure rofl no kidding

  • I love the absolute MINIMAL amount of CG was used in this movie. The fact that ripley was given a REAL LIFE flamethrower, and that they had humans in alien costumes (I have to say, 1:41, that Alien crawling on the wall looks more real than any computer could generate) and how James actually built his set with all of his people just astounds me. This is how movies should be made.

  • @MidnightGrunt NONE of the special effects in this movie qualify as CG, this was 1986 it wasnt really available, they didnt even have a modern mixer for sound effects at first

  • The guy who played Apone is a marine; he was not a green beret (army special forces).

  • @JP5466 - No but seriously, I never said guns should be illegal or anything, all I meant was that I think people who have guns are usually gonna use them on another person...

  • @DarkRicochet117 yeah i own guns, i like to shoot cans of spray paint, deer and things like that for fun. lemme tell you something though, yesterday my roommate told me a friend of his got robbed by 3 giant unarmed dudes only a couple days ago, if they tried that on me on my own property i would have pulled out a gun and shoot if they keep comming

  • @JP5466 - Well, respectfully, you need to suck my balls.

  • Look, own a gun or don't. It's your constitutional right either way. If you promise not to break into my house, I promise not to shoot you. Besides, both the dobermans will get you long before I can load the gun.

  • Lance Henriksen sounds like a right prick.

  • I'm a Texan and I can tell you that you don't use your fists on the bob cat that wanders in through the doggy door. Guns have a place and a purpose.

  • @LuckyIrishGal Statistics show consistently that having guns in your home is more likely to result in accidental injuries/death than it is to some kind of life-saving situation. And if you live where there's bobcats, don't HAVE a doggy-door. Use your head.

  • @WalterLiddy Accidental discharge of weapons accounts for a total of 0.8% of deaths in the United States. Motor Vehicles account for 44.3%. Falling accounts for 13.6%. Complications from medical care are 3.1%. So if I follow your reasoning I better use my head and have no gun, no car, don't walk, and avoid doctors. Sounds like a plan.

  • @LuckyIrishGal Yes but the point is that cars and doctors actually serve a purpose beyond killing things. Guns are designed ONLY to inflict major damage and death, nothing more.

So please, don't use that bullshit strawman argument that disingenuosly equates guns to things that actually help people. Especially when using some VERY loaded statistics out of context.

  • @enigma19833 "ONLY to inflict major damage and death, nothing more." Bullshit they are deterrents.....that alone is a use other than killing people.

  • @Floppy2Blueray

    Bullshit. Enigma is correct.

"Guns are designed ONLY to inflict major damage and death, nothing more."

Quite accurate, they are not designed to be deterrents, they are designed to kill. Their function as deterrents is incidental to their designed purpose.

  • @lowenklee So a gun cant be used as a deterrent? ...........enigma isnt correct were Nazi Doctors in the camps only designed to help people overcome illness? are cars not also used in war?....another thing you need to take a look around the only populations throughout history who have not endured being slaves are an armed populace.Im irish we had no weapons...the Empire we hated disarmed our nation and it took hundreds of years and seperation of our northern brothers to become free.

  • @Floppy2Blueray

my comment has nothing to do with any sentiment regarding gun ownership, but rather the factual correctness of Enigma's statement.

Guns may be used to deter but they are designed to kill just as cars may be used to kill but are designed to locomote.

Whatever your feelings on the social/political repercussions of firearms, Enigma is correct.

  • @lowenklee "just as cars may be used to kill but are designed to locomote." APC's.....Hummers......."Guns may be used to deter but they are designed to kill just as cars may be used to kill but are designed to locomote." lol yea what i said right? and the nazi doctors? never mind i have no interest in arguing mate

  • @Floppy2Blueray

    /Sigh

Neither APC or Humvees are designed to kill, the guns mounted thereon are. Remove the gun and you still have a locomotive tool.

What good is a gun that cannot maim or kill? Any deterrent value derives from it's designed functionality.

Doctors are people, not inanimate tools designed with a narrow functionality.

I suspect you really aren't intellectually up for the task of making fine logical distinctions...so yes, continuing this serves no purpose.

  • @lowenklee "What good is a gun that cannot maim or kill? Any deterrent value derives from it's designed functionality." Airsoft gun, painball gun, nailgun.......sigh your logic is flawed as you see things in black and white.

  • @Floppy2Blueray

Care to play a game of paint-balling with a .38 snub-nose? Tried hammering in a nail with an AR-15...quite inefficient...as they weren't designed for those tasks.

If you are attempting to play at semantics it's clear your earlier use of the term gun...unless you believe the IRA (as an example) might have forced the English to the peace-table earlier if only they'd had more air-soft rifles?

Guns are my profession, and Enigma remains correct.

  • @lowenklee "Doctors are people, not inanimate tools designed with a narrow functionality." tell it to the chap who your defending.

  • @Floppy2Blueray

Let me clarify that last part, I'm not saying you're stupid. But for whatever reason you're not choosing to see this issue logically...which is both highly amusing and confusing. But whatever.

  • @lowenklee I better leave before my knuckle dragging, gun toting, illogical caveman ego is crushed by your mighty intellect

  • @lowenklee And armed conflict is the only thing that has ever freed people.....peace talks come after the one of the sides has inflicted too many casualties for the other side to take. I'm a responsible adult i should be able to own a weapon and if you dont want one then you dont have one but please try not impose your views on me its not as if i ask that everybody be forced to own a gun.

  • @enigma19833 its also a deterrent

  • my point exactly guns are seriously the most useless thing in existance they serve no purpose in life bar maybe hunting animals thats all. and if ur are being robbed bat them or punch them dont shoot them. im scottish btw

  • OK MAN . SO YOU GO ON A BUG HUNT WITH YOUR FISTS ?

  • @DBNIGHT yeah cos aliens exist dumbass

  • @DBNIGHT Be a real manly-man and beat xenomorphs to death with your bare hands

  • too much time spent listening to Sigorny weavers anti gun tirade..

  • no one needs a gun and if u think u do u are a moron. people who need weapons or stuff like that cant fight for shit. also another reason why most people hate americans (i dont) but u can see why people do all u guys go on about is guns. look at the war lots of trigger happy american troops kill more allied soldiers than enemy troops.

  • @Ghoshlad1989 - I'm an American and I don't like guns. I agree that guns are for people who can't fight with their fists. I respect people who can defend themselves with their hands, but anyone who carries a gun is probably up to no good. I see the positive aspects of having a firearm: If you need to defend yourself against a home invasion or if someone else has a gun & is trying to shoot you, but I don't think that a majority of people use guns for defense, they use them for intimidation...

  • @DarkRicochet117 Respectfully, you really need to stop watching/listening to lame stream media propaganda and educate yourself. It's called "The right to bare arms".

  • Everyone hates guns until they need or wish they had owned one after something bad happened. Any man breaks down my door in the middle of the night is taking a 12 gauge shotgun shell to the face. Yes, I'm from Texas.

  • weaver is a moron. gun owners don't view ourselves as immortal because we have a gun. we like knowing we can defend our home, land, family from those who may try to take it. it's PROTECTION not POWER. but then again she is part of the "enlightened hollywood elite" that voted for their great all knowing president ODumbo that has run this great country and its economy into the ground

  • @kc8ppo use your brain teabagger. The economy was going to shit when obama took office. No doubt you and your delusional friends think the economy was booming back in 2008-09.

Maybe you all should do some research before you post nonsense.

On the other hand you teabaggers should keep posting the nonsense you do. Give the independents a better idea of the kind of folks they might vote for in the future.

  • @sonovab33p All the numbers and facts back kc8ppo leaving you looking like the idiot you are.

  • @sonovab33p and the great obamamessiah and his communist policies were supposed to save the country. WAKE UP MAN!! communism has NEVER worked and NEVER will work. socialism, liberalism and progressivism is what CAUSED the problem and NO amount of spending will fix the problem. it did NOT work during the 1930s and it surely will NOT work today.

  • Great movie but fucking hell this sounds like an awful set to have been at.

  • que the youtube comment war about guns. smh.

  • 2:10 Actors seem really dysfunctional and schizophrenic. All nervous and simultaneously having one view while holding another.

  • 2:04 OK, well now she's saying she likes firepower. What is up with her?

  • @campbpar That's absolutely straight and true. I mean, the reason she hates guns is a deep realization that they are dangerous and kill people. Yet the feeling of power, the adrenaline rush from a dangerous situation, that just excites, that's just human nature. Ironic that the more dangerous you perceive a gun, the higher the adrenalin rush will be.

  • @SianaGearz Indeed.

  • 1:15 Well, she's very noble when it comes to guns. Bad.

    No.

  • he almost killed bill

  • Oh the irony. Weaver, the iconic strong female example, being anti-gun.

  • @goomba25

Yea, I've always liked her role in Aliens. She actually doesent come across as a 'sex icon', nor super gun wieding chick. Just a strong willed woman that prolly busted her tail to move forward in the space industry, and eventually became the captain of the Nostromo.. what happened from there on was'nt something she ever wanted to happen nor take part in I think, it just worked out that way.

  • @sornan005 Technically she was first Officer :D but I agree with what you said, one of teh best "strong" female leads in cinematic history

  • Thumbs up if you hate these stupid and pointless youtube format changes

  • Thanks for going through hell to make that scene

  • Oh, I'll always love the scene with Hicks shoving his Remington 870 down the alien's throat. EAT THIS!!!!!

    KAH-THUD!!!!!!!

  • pause at 2:04 (:

  • @symbiote35 are you ok?

  • Does anybody else think Gorman sorta looks like Michael Schumacher?

  • @albertoalejandro0424 You BETCHA!

  • @albertoalejandro0424 Fact: Nobody but white people have ever killed other humans with guns ever.

  • @BigMikeMcBastard I happen to disagree. This is only an exmple why: Ever read any documents about "modern civil wars" all around the world?

Now, I'd rather say that the first ones to use gun powder to kill humans were white people. Even the name they gave that explosive substance is GUN powder (when other races have the same name for gun powder and fire works, and nicer ideas of what to do with gun powder other than just killing people)

  • @albertoalejandro0424 China invented black powder and they used it to kill people with rockets and primitive firearms. You seriously think Europeans were the first to use black powder to kill people with?

  • @albertoalejandro0424 Really though I guess you're trying to make a point but it's pretty silly. Every single population group ever has engaged in warfare to one degree or another. We kill each other, no matter what colour our skin is. Just so happens that the Europeans were better at empire building than others so they got to export their killing to a broader stage. But the idea that skin colour dictates inclination towards murder is pretty well retarded.

Anyway, Aliens is a good film.

  • @BigMikeMcBastard please, reada again your six-day-ago (from right now) post.

  • @albertoalejandro0424 Please tell me more about evil white people and how all the other skin tones bestow magical peaceful tendencies.

  • 2:36 Now that's some damn good face exfoliant!

  • not one interview from James Cameron

  • All this talk of guns on the set & accidents makes me think of Brandon Lee. Sure that was a freak accident & Arnold & Stallone did tons of action movies with guns, but since The Crow, I can't help but wonder if a real bullet tip can still end up on a film set.

Then again, the flame throwers gave off real flames.

  • whoah holy shit apone's actor was a green berret? Thats fucking awesome

  • I have seen too many "gun entusiasts" getting the power trip going, to say you're right.

  • You've met the wrong ones. It isnt how most are. I am right. There's a big difference between loving guns and enjoying gun culture, and getting a power trip.

  • Or people that just doesn't like to have thatm uch of a responsability in hand.

    Don't judge to easily.

  • @pshinspections That's Hollywood for ya. "Just call the police." Nevermind all the many layers to gun related culture. Some of the misconceptions of Ms. Weaver about guns, and the proper attitude to have about them.(That "Invincible" comment for example) are way off. You shouldnt treat guns like toys, or feel Godly when holding them. Most Gun ethusiasts I know are not like that at all.

  • She doesn't know what she's talking about - just projecting her preconceived ideas about gun owners.

People don't get guns to make themselves, "feel immortal". They get guns in case they need to make scumbags, "un-immortal".

It's simple - some humans don't take no for an answer just like those goddamn aliens. They can't be bargained with. They can't be reasoned with.

And that leaves you one option.

The problem isn't guns - the problem is that there are arseholes that need to be shot.

  • @pshinspections well arent u a good lil fox news atomiton

  • I dont even watch Fox, you asswiper.

I'll keep my guns, money and freedom... you can keep the change, fuckstick.

Your attempt at a clever little quip just shit down your throat. Fuck off. Ignored.

  • @pshinspections apparently it wasnt ignored and i have no clue what u just said drunken typing isnt really a good form of communication fucktard

  • @fuzzyelfxiii

You missed it. Never mind. But thanks for being another youtube example of a failed public school education. Ignored.

  • @pshinspections hahah fail it would seem your grasp of the definition of ignored is a lil lax maybe you should pick up a dictionary because im well educated and i happen to know what ignored means unlike someone here maybe you shouldn't have IGNORED tour teachers if you had payed attention maybe you wouldn't be such a pretentious fucking moron
