I have a right to attack someone I think is pulling the wool over peoples eyes and profiting from it! I did not however attack someone's playing you did that and just for the record my upper register is just fine I can play above high C and that is high enough for me
Ok fair enough but I met the guy when his plant was closing down. That's right CLOSING DOWN! and he did not strike me as anything special. You have your methods and I have mine! It is my opinion that his method is a hoax and very unnatural to play that way. Also the part about it I hate is the claim that "everyone" played that way and the way he proves this is pointing to an air bulge on the bottom lip and claiming its the players tongue its just not true! I heard him say it about Lee Morgan
You know what I am not gonna fight with you on youtube your channel demostrates no original material just technical playing that's good for you Its not good for me and I love kindergarten music and Don Cherry is one of my favorite players and I am sure you hate him so how bout we leave it at that because unless you can show me original songs that you write on many instruments like I do you really are doing something totally different than me and have fun with that
@Psqwall I actually Love Don Cherry and in fact, I have Chet Baker as the front guy on some websites I am building....trumpeterdotUS . I can't play like Clifford, but I don't go to his sites or videos and try to take down posters I also cannot play as good as Rafael Mendez, yet I don't tear down people who have extraordinary technique! We all do not have to play classical AND jazz, but UPPER REGISTER affects us all. I have met a few African and Hispanic Americans Jerome taught....openmind please
Correction putting your tongue over your bottom teeth! This is what I object to ! I have no desire to play like Maynard Ferguson and play blaring annoying trumpet blasts. I prefer smooth soulful playing like Lee Morgan or Chet Baker or Dizzy who played totally incorrect till his last days ! I object with this mans theory mainly because I heard he promotes it to white players to compensate for them not having lips like black people and that is straight up racist and false!
So is this Jerome Callet ? In the video because I would love to see a video of the man who spreads this bullshit and has made a nice little living for himself doing so

Your comment is counter-intuitive: How could someone make a nice living up to age 80 and beyond if it was not proven and tested? To make a nice living helping others with their absolute frustrations regarding upper register proves Jerome is the real deal. Again, go back to plucking your 6 string..forget trumpet!

I am very happy with how I play trumpet and very comfortable! The best trumpet advice on lip placement can be found on youtube and is by Chris Porter you should check that out ! This method makes no sense to me and how the hell would you triple tongue using it? Ton's of people make nice livings off of phonyness!

I don't need to spar with you trumpetwise because I have trumpet students that can blow the kindergarten crap on your channel ....away! You would have to get by them first before I waste my time on you. Demonstrate you CAN play in the upper register and then if you don't want or don't need...that is where it is at. Don't rationalize you don't like MF or other high range players simply because of your insecurities!
