Nice Cubanelle peppers. Oh, the first ones are hot, and later ones are more mild, sometimes you get one with no heat at all! Mine were from Praxxus. They are well worth tasting to find the mild ones, although they can sometimes be a bit tricky (ones with a hot side, or delayed hotness!)
Your plants look great. I also made the mistake last year with the tall marigolds. This year, I only planted the dwarf variety. Next season, I'm going to try to plant some veggies in the front yard. I think this year we all got a late start with our gardens, plus we've had excessive heat in July, followed by so much rain. I think that shocked my plants because I usually have more productive tomatoes than I do this season. Thanks for sharing your garden
@chicagocindybuddie Aside from the overcrowding that I caused by how I planted... my gourds/tomatoes/cucumbers seem like they've grown lots of green vines/leaves, but WAY fewer veggies/gourds than this time last year. Less than 1/2 of last year's amounts. Why? Too hot in the early summer in NJ this year? Less bees? I'm not sure. The plants look healthy, just that they don't seem to want to make nearly as many veggies/gourds.
Compost tea for crowded areas assures a good harvest. I don't have much room so I pack it in and feed it tea and I get more than I need!

Over crowding is a mistake everyone makes. I did that with my gourds in the buckets. It's ok. Every year is different too.
