Is that as loud as he gets? I really want one, but i'm worried he'll be too loud. Does his screaming ever actually HURT your ears, like my bird's scream does? If they are overly loud, i'm planning on getting a parrotlet. But that wouldn't be as cuddly...

@JaredMartinez02 When he's really screaming, I would say he's about as loud as an alarm clock. The screaming isn't painfully loud, but you can't sleep or study through it. I live in an apartment and I can't hear him through the neighbor's walls, but I can hear him through my whole apartment. He usually just screams in the morning when he wakes up, whenever I'm doing something scary (like vacuuming), or as I'm leaving the house. The rest of the time he just talks or mutters.

@JaredMartinez02 No, Conures are pretty quiet, mine included. The only time he cries out is when I leave the room and he doesn't know where I am.

@JaredMartinez02 They are very quite in compare to parrots. I have a ringneck parrot and a conure. Conrue is nothing in compare to him. Go for it.

He seems a lot like my green cheek, Nila. The only difference is that she won't wait for me to come to her, she just flies over and lands on me  :) Really cute bird!

He rides around on my shoulder any time I'm at home. I talk to him constantly. He picked up on some things, and knows what a few objects are called even when he can't say the word. My dad said "banana" and Charlie went crazy!

doesn't those sand perches hurt there feet? maybe thats why he is screaming.

actualy those perches are good for their feet because if you only have the same old round perch then their feet will start to curl and then its basicly un reversilbe. also sand ones are good because they are able to scratch their beeks on them and get all of the old skin or whatevr it is off. parrots need change every now and then so i would actualy suggest one of these perches.

My gcc is loudest in the morning when he immitates my alarm clock in the hopes of making breakfast happen sooner. He didnt bother my neighbors when I lived in an apartment, but roommates might be another story. The good news is he doesnt make noise until the sun comes up.

My GC is really quiet. He only yells when he wants me. and hes quiet in the morning because I put a sheet over his cage.
