I like the versions in this movie an eual to the originals. I love the originality that they took with these songs making them familiar and at the same time unique. And I must admit whenever I play Beatles Rock Band, I do this version of Helter Skelter. :D

And anyone who thinks that they're 'stealing The Beatles' credit' for these songs obviously has no taste in music, because everyone who knows anything about music knows that these songs were all done by The Beatles originally.

To TheAbelinc, I have seen both and while i enjoyed Rent, I found ATU to be a MUCH better movie. ATU actually uses the beatles songs to make a movie, it all flows together rather seamlessly and is truly a great film.

I hate this friggn movie. I like some of the beatles, but this movie did make the songs a little less... boringish i guess. The movie was just an overall boring movie, it would have been beeter if they had just made a soundtrack of this than a whole longass movie. Thats just my opinoin though cuz my family loves it.

@ The Abelinc: I haven't seen the movie RENT, but people have told me about the plot, and really (from what I hear) Across the Universe is nothing like RENT. I think ATU is a truly revolutionary musical, it changes the complete perspective, really I'm not even sure you can call it a musical, it's just that different, but at the same time truly amazing. I think you'll love it.

Joe Anderson, the blonde guy, sounded/looked alot like Kurt Cobain. and the black guy looked and sounded like Hendrix. Maybe they were trying to fit the period, i dunno. It was weird though.
